E-91-01 error My DSW - W70 camera recently started to over heat and an E-91-01 error has appeared on the screen. I have tried to reinitatlize the camera as suggeste in teh manual but still same eroor. What's can be done?

    Camera displays E:91:01.. I think is concerning the flash of the camera. Maybe the flash circuitry has to be changed.

    hey.. is there any useful solution to this?



    Flash doesnt work in my camera and i get the E-91-01 error in the display...

This is I think a known fault and if it is- the camera will be replaced if it is not a repair price may be quoted.
This price may not be very cheap in which case it would be economic to simply discard the camera and start over

it appears that is a permanant error when the flash fails on that camera. it would appear sending it in for service is the only option.

Hey kimmc279,
According to the manufacturer the file error message should mean the camera experienced an error while trying to read the file. One thing you could try is formatting your memory stick in camera, and of course upload any images you have on it to your computer first. If that didn't work I would try initializing the camera back to factory settings, which can be done in the setup menu. I hope this helps!

Error message
my camera did the same thing, lens retracts 3 or 4 times, and then proceeded with an error message "turn off and on again". I pressed the power button probably about 10 times, didn't work, so then i gave it a good smack on the top of the frame a few times while repeatedly pressing the power button and it did the trick. Hasn't gave me problems since...hope it helps

apparently i have some bad news , its the lense which is misaligned or broken in terms of gears, the thing to do turn on the camera and make sure that lens is out and then LIGHTLY tapp on the lens the direction of which you feel that the lens is not equal legnth to the outer ring > place that looks uneven
