Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

Hear the motor to dishwasher turn on, but no water is running. I have checked to make sure that water supply is conected.

Open the door and look for the water level float in the bottom of the dishwasher. Make sure nothing is stuck under the float and wiggle it up and down to make sure it moves freely then try starting the dishwasher again to see if it fills.
If the dishwasher still does not fill you may need to replace the water inlet valve. If you have a volt meter you could check the water inlet valve to see if it is getting voltage.
If the valve is getting voltage, but does not open to let water in then replace the valve.
If your float is not stuck chances are you will need to replace the water valve.

The dishwash is not washing, it's running but there is no water. The washing cycle is completed but nothing has happen, this recently started.

Sounds like a bad water valve or the water supply is cut off. If the water supply is not cut off then try hooking up 120 volts to the water valve. It should buzz or hum and let water in. If no water goes in then change the valve.

Lights on but wash

I assume you can't even hear water running. If that's the case, you may have a faulty or stuck water solenoid valve. Under your sink, there is a water line that connects directly to your dishwasher. That line is always on, so it's always under pressure, unless you turn off that valve under the sink. Therefore, something has to prevent water from flowing into the dishwasher, and that something is typically a solenoid valve. The solenoid typically gets it's power when you start your dishwasher. If the solenoid is stuck (most typical problem) a little gentle persuasion from the handle of a screwdriver may be all you need to unstick it.

Dishwasher wont fill

Make sure the dishwasher is not stuck in some kind of error mode. Make sure the water valve is turned on. Take the bottom front service door off and locate the water valve on the front left bottom of the machine. Make sure there are wires connected to it. If it's still not working, pick up a cheap electrical multimeter. Set it to the resistance setting, and remove the wires from the water valve. Test the resistance across the water valve's terminals. If the resistance is very high, or infinity, the water valve needs to be replaced. If the water valve is ok, turn the dishwasher on and test the voltage across the wires that go to the water valve at a time in the cycle when you know the dishwasher's controller will be trying to let water in. It may be either ac or dc voltage, so try both settings on the meter if you don't get a reading. If no voltage is read across those wires, open up the dishwasher and find the circuit board that the water valve's wires connect to, and make sure they're connected to the board properly. If that still doesn't work, there's a problem with the dishwasher's control board. Look for a square or rectangular blue, gray, black, white box on the circuit board near where the wire plugs in. This is the mechanical switch that turns on the power to the water valve when the computer sends a signal that it wants water. This switch may be jammed up. Try tapping it firmly with screwdriver. If that doesn't work, you can desolder the power switch and solder on a new one. If that doesn't work, you'll need to replace the board or do some advanced work on it.

Machine runs full cycle without water!

The most common reason for this problem is the inlet valve (Solinoid valve) has failed and does not open when the DW timer tells it to before each wash and rinse cycle.
That valve is just inside the place where the hot water supply hose connects to the dishwasher.
There can be other causes but this is by far the most common reason.
Good Luck!

Water wont stop going in

You stated that your house is new. I see this frequently and what has likely happened is the installer used pipe dope to seal the elbow that screws into the bottom of the dishwasher water valve. They should have used Teflon thread tape instead as the pipe dope will get into the diaphram in the water valve, clog the tiny holes in it and ruin the water valve. The valve on the dishwasher will need to replaced. Hopefully the company that takes care of the warranty doesn't charge you for it. They should back-charge the installer.
