Too cold I have a sanyo 3344s counter height fridge. It is at least 5 years old and for the last year or so it is almost a freezer unless it is on the lowest temp setting. Even on 1 milk still gets icy. Is this an easy fix or do I need to call someone?

Over time, internal parts wear out. If you made all of the manual adjustments to the thermostat control and it fails to raise the temperature accordingly, then it needs replacement. Contact the manufacturer for replacement parts and instructions.

SOURCE: freezer is cold but fridge is warm

check door seals for freezer and fridge. If ok, check frost level in the freezer. Ice present on the back of the freezer panel (evap cover) remove evap cover and check for defrost problem by ohming out heater and defrost thermostat. If both check ok, then test the defrost timer. If this unit new and covered under wty, call a&e factory svc at 1-800-905-9505 for a free repair. consult your owners manual for wty details.

SOURCE: Sanyo mini refridgerator won't get cold

This sounds to me like your fridge might be in defrost mode. There should be a switch up toward the top of the fridge near the cold setting. It's not always very visible, but feel around for a little round hole. There should be a small, plastic rod sticking out. Push it back in. (If it's out.) If this is the problem, you should hear the compressor turn on and the fridge should start cooling off again. If you still have the owners manual, it'll probably point you to its exact location.

I hope this helps! :)

SOURCE: thermostat switch comes on but fridge does not cool

Hi,

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

Fridge too cold!

don't forget that just turning down your fridge temp dose not mean your problem might be over yet. the freezer setting may also be too high & that will affect your fridge temp as well. i set both my control settings to around 50% of what is on the scale & that works perfect for my 7 yr old fridge. also, very important, is make sure the freezer portion is going through it's full defrost cycles, or it will freeze the upper portion inside the fridge. you should not have any frost build up in your fridge, nor should you have any in your freezer. that's why they call them FROST FREE. try the slow temp decrease over a period of a few days & hopefully that will work for you. good luck.

I have a sharp fridge SJ-P49N-SL. A recent power outtage in the area lasted 8 hours. When the power came back on, the fridge seemed to be ok. But, after 5-6 hours of operation, the freezer is not cold...

Checked Freezer Fan is working. Also checked defrost Fuse in freezer.
To checked freezer fan is working or not open freezer door press Door Switch and checked Cold air is coming from duct or not.

Fridge is warm with no cold air.

Unless there are 2 thermostats, one for freezer and one for refrig, it's not the thermostat if the freezer is ok. Sounds like the small fan that blows the cold air from freezer into refrig is not operating.

Whirlpool side by side Fridge Freezer S20BRBB20

Your fridge is simply not defrosting itself or moving air off the freezer coil. Try defrosting it and make sure the fan is operating. If the brains have been replaced already i do not think you should have to deal with them again unless consumer reports suggest otherwise.

Freezer is cold but not keeping icecream frozen.

If, the fresh food section is 34- 38 degrees, then the freezer should be cold enough to keep ice cream solid. All of the cooling capability comes from the freezer section. I, personally, would not waste time or money on a ten year old box. Ten years ago it cost $1000, so, the outlay is $100 per year. Dump the old refrigerator and get a new one.

Fridge way too warm.

Peace Friend,
ngafm At your service!

Ready?
If the freezer is cold and not the fridge, you need to make sure the freezer is not filled to the top and covering the cold air vents and passages usually found in the rear or bottom rear of the freezer!
If they are blocked or covered with packages the unit will not be able to transfer cold air to and from the fridge!
Yes, they share the air in most refrigerators!

What type fridge,model and age?

If not only a trained tech can make the electronic diagnoses.
Like we used to be able to fix my own cars, but not today they need diagnostic equipment!
