Home Cinema Wireless Kit

Hi there Can anyone tell me if the SH-FX71 wireless transmitter/receiver will operate on a Bluray Home Cinema system SC-BT205? The instructions indicate that SH-FX70 is the correct unit but that has been discontinued now and seems to have been replaced by the 71. However the specs for that do not list the BT205 as being compatible. I am thinking of purchasing the BT205 (used) to replace my now none operational DVD home cinema system, but I really want wireless rear speakers. Thanks Paul

It may be favorable to simply purchase a rear wireless speaker system all by itself and use the existing system for surround sound applications. Monoprice . Com has some units are a good price.

Thanks for the info. But the item I am interested in (from Panasonic) changes the unit into a wireless system. I don't need a seperate stand alone unit. Thanks...wish I was in the US...your prices are so much better than over here!

SOURCE: No sound from our Sony Wireless Home Cinema System

Basic checks first. Have you checked they are connected properly? Maybe used a different cable to check whether the rear cables are faulty? You may just have turned your system to 2.1 surrououn sound by accident or be playing a format that only supports 2.1. Check that in the system menu under dec. mode that if it is set to AFD STD that you are playing a DVD which shows can support 5.1 on the back of its cover. Also try running the setup manually and choosing your speaker configuration. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Panasonic Wireless Rear Speakers Ticking

move ur speakers around. if the noise is absent on some places u can be sure its the digital box. or one fix that might work is - get aluminium foils and wrap ur speakers. this can blank out interferences. if that works, open ur speakers and line the walls with thick aluminium foils. hope this helps.

Hi, I purchased two units of logitech cordless

Your friend should be able to use the headset if your friend's computer has Bluetooth feature. THe computer will send and receive the Bluetooth signals with one transmitter/receiver like your computer does and then connect to the wireless lan with a different transmitter/receiver system on a different frequency. Just make sure your friend's computer has Bluetooth feature turned on and then setup the headset by the "pairing" process.

HTS9800 Wireless receiver not working

I have just bought one of these today and have had the exact same problem. No rear sound and no blue light on the receiver box.

Solution:
What philips don't tell you in the manual and on the support site is that the receiver box has a switch hidden under a white sticker; next to the left of the right speaker connection. The switch has 3 positions which can be selected. I had tried each switch position and power cycled the subwoofer each time until eventually i got a blue light on the receiver box.

You may also need to select the correct channel on the control box by pressing the "sound" button for 5 seconds on the remote control.

It took me quite a while to try the different combinations until it finally worked. I can't imagine that Philips would have sent the system out without testing the wireless partnership first, so I am guessing my wireless network could have had something to do with it. (forever the optimist).

I did expect the subwoofer standby light to have gone off or changed colour once operational, but this just seems to stay on no matter what state it is in.
