Nikon d2xs will not power on. Hi my nikon has been sitting unused for a while. I wanted to use it to shoot some time lapse and bought new batteries for it. I charged them and put them in only to find

You are correct. The internal battery typically lasts around ten years; but that is a very rough number. I would take it to a camera repairman or contact Nikon Support at 1-800-645-6687 between 9AM and 8PM EST, Monday to Friday for an RMA number.

2yrs old. Went thru 3 sets of batteries to get 20 pictures. Dead again. What`s the story?

Sounds like you have a short in the wiring. This is repair shop stuff, or buy a new camera time. Usually, if it is a point and shoot , it is not worth sending for repair as you'll playas much as a new camera is worth. I would look for a new camera, personally. Good luck.

My Camera keeps asking me for the date and time every time I turn it on How do i stop this?

Press the m button during shooting or playback to display the setup menu. The setup menu provides access to a variety of camera settings, including options not listed in the function menu, display options, and the time and date. Once you have the date and time set it should stop asking.

My Sony DSC H1 Camera easily get drains the batteries. I already tried to replace new batteries 3x and when i use it, just take 5 shots and the battery was drained already.

If you are shooting with flash and using alkaline batteries, this certainly could be the case. If you are using lithium batteries or NiMH rechargeable batteries and are not shooting with flash, and are having this problem, then there is likely some internal problem with the camera that is draining the batteries unnecessarily.
In that case, you'd want to take the camera to a repair shop for troubleshooting.

Hi, I have an Olympus camera, D-425. For some reason, when I have it on the MOVIE setting, it only allows me to take 6 second clips. I have completely deleted all other photos from the camera, and it...

Greetings - It sounds like you are trying to use the camera's internal memory to shoot video. The camera only has 14 MB of internal memory.
If you want to shoot video or store more than a handful of pictures you need to get yourself an SD memory card and install it as directed in the manual. A two GB card would hold up to 60 minutes of video and can be purchased for about 10 dollars (USD).

Fairly brand new (less than 6 months old) Canon rebel xti - shooting in manual mode, then it gives a low battery message. I switch the battery and nothing. I recharge the first battery and install it,...

If its brand new and with less than 7 monthsof usage, you have to send it back and make valid the warranty.

Such symptoms indicate a malfunction o the DC/DC voltage converter circuitry, and the camera has two of them located in different boards.

In order to perform a correct diagnostics and repair of it, it is necessary to open such camera and perform it by a qualified camera repair technician.

I hopeyou already sent it back. If not, then I do suggest you to do it immediately.

Best regards,

Camera goes into Shut Down Mode & Flashes the Letter H

Hey sonax,
This H error message means either the film is loaded incorrectly, or there is an internal malfunction in the camera. To determine if the film is loaded incorrectly you should take the film and the batteries out of the camera then reinstall the batteries and try taking a picture without film in the camera. If the camera allows it then the film was loaded incorrectly and I would refer to the camera manual for directions on how to load the film correctly. If the H error message persists then there is most likely an internal malfunction and I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Instructions

There are two conditions under which a blinking "H" will appear in the
LCD panel: (1) when the film has been loaded incorrectly or (2) when the
camera's self-test process detects an internal malfunction. If a
blinking "H" indication appears, perform the following operations in
attempt to resolve the situation:

1. Rewind and remove the film using the rewind button, then remove the
battery to clear the memory.

2. Clean the contacts at the base of the battery compartment with a
clean pencil eraser to ensure proper contact between the camera and
battery.

3. Replace the battery, power the camera back up1.gif and operate it as if
it had film loaded, pressing the shutter release.
