What type of document are you trying to print(PDF, MS Word doc, etc)?
Is the printer connected via USB cable, Bluetooth?
First thing I would do is try printing a different document or even a different type of document.
If printing different documents results in the same problem then I would uninstall the current drivers,
download the latest drivers from Canon, then install those drivers and try printing again.
Also, if the printer is connected to your computer via USB cable verify the cable has no exposed wiring or try a different USB cable.
