Light changing

The frosted glass cover over the lamps in your video is held in place by the knob / nut at the very bottom. Support the glass with one hand, and loosen the knob / nut with the other by tunrning in a CCW direction. There will likely be a flat washer or decorative trim between the glass and the knob (be sure not to lose these parts). The knob / nut should only be hand tight, but that doesn't stop some people from using tools to tighten them.
Once the nut has been spun off, the weight of the glass will be in your hand. Gently lower the glass. Inside, you may find a washer and felt. Depending on yur particular glass, it may have neither - but if it does, you should reassemble the washer & felt in the same order as it is designed to help prevent cracking the glass if the knob / nut is overtightened.
Relamp, repair & clean as needed and reassemble in reverse order of disassembly.

Fresh air is making a popping sound

Carefully examine the plate. If there are black burnt spots next to the wire, it needs to be replaced. Otherwise, cleaning it will stop the popping sound.

How do I get to the wires inside the unit safely? I see several suggestions but not sure that I know how to get to these wires without damaging the unit.

For years I have tried to clean the wires.Mine sometimes sounds like a bug zapper! Anyway, the only solution I have come up with is this.--I take a Very thin cloth(such as an old worn out washcloth) dampen it and carefully holding on to one corner, insert it into open top of unit. I jigglel it up and down. It will help loosen some of the debris on the wires. Also, at times I purposely let it drop inside and shake the unit up and down, then turn it upside down to let it fall closer to the top to get it out.Do this several times, rinsing rag and wringing out well each time.I clean the slats with a thin rag wrapped over a butter knife. All of this is time consuming, but it pays to do it. Iv'e had mine 11 yrs. and they are still working.Just make sure all of the components are completely dry before reconnecting unit.

Our carrier reverse cycle airconditioner is leaking inside the house after a hour of use. how can we fix this? we have cleaned the filters in the inside unit and it still leaks,it works fine as a heater...

Did you blow out the drain? If so pull the front off of the air handler unit. Ckean out drain pan. This drain pan had small holes on either side that run from the sode drain clean those out. Also if your coil is dirty it will pull water back and cause it to leak. Try cleaning coil and dain pan plus blow out drain. Rus

Ionic breeze quadra constantly blinking cleaning overdue, evenghough it is clean.

If it still works after you cleaned it, consider yourself lucky. If light blinking bothers you, just put a piece of black electrical tape over it and enjoy it. That unit has been driving me nuts for years. I cleaned mine and now it doesn't work at all. A blinking light I could put up with, with a little tape. Enjoy it because it still works.

Oreck Air Purifier. Need to take it apart to clean the collection

i just used a butter knife wrapped in a Clorox wipe... being careful not to have the metal show so that it will scrape. when the wipe comes out black, rotate the wipe so that it will be able to clean. I used 5 wipes rotating. I could not figure out how to open the thing either so this was my solution.

Cleaning the top of the oreck air purifier

what i normally do, is i take off the top of the and remove the filter, the metal dust catcher, and the back filter... i was the 2 filters and rub them down. then with the metal dust catcher i take a butter knife. wrap it in a clorox wipe (making sure that no metal is exposed to scratch) then i feed it through the metal dust catcher one at a time to clean it. It took me 5 wipes to clean the whole thing. when the wipe comes out black then i rotate it. As for the top of the machine. there are 2 screws that i removed to get to the fan. when they were out i used a can of air (like you would clean a computer with) and blew out the fan... it took care of all noise and it runs just like the day i got it.

Filter not clicking or emitting clean air smell and dust is flowing like filter is not energized

MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CELL(S) ARE CLEAN ... CLOSELY INSPECT TO SEE THAT THERE ARE NO BROKEN IONIZING WIRES (THE SMAAL STAINLESS-STEEL WIRES THAT ARE BETWEEN THE COLLECTOR PLATES). MAKE SURE POWER GOING INTO UNIT TO IS "OFF"!!! ... NOT JUST THE SWITCH ON THE UNIT. THEN TRY THE FOLLOWING: THIS AIR-CLEANER THAS A AIR-FLOW SENSOR THAT SOMETIMES GETS CLOGGED ... IT IS INSIDE THE TOP CONTROL PANEL. THERE SHOULD BE A DIAGRAM UNDER THE CONTROL BOX COVER PLATE TO ASSIST YOU LOCATING THAT SENSOR. MAKE SURE IT IS CLEAN. THE HIGH-VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER BEING BAD USEUALLY WILL SMELL LIKE BURNT WIRING. AND WILL LOOK BURNT. MAKE SURE YOU SEE NO LOSE WIRES ... SOME TIMES THE SPARK-PLUG LOOKING WIRE GOING TO THE CELL(S) CAN BURN OFF ITS CONNECTOR. YOU CAN CHECK THE DOOR SAFETY SWITCH TO MAKE SURE IT IS MAKING CONTACT WHEN HANDLE IS PROPERLY CLOSED. GOOD LUCK ... HOPE YOU HERE THAT ZAPPING SOON ... BY THE WAY ... IF YOU GET A POWER LIT ON ... GIVE THE RETURN-AIR DUCT A SLIGHT BANG ... IF IT IS WORHING IT SHOULD SNAP CRACKLE AND POP FOR A FEW SECONDS. MAKE SURE YOU SEE NOTHING (HAIR?) LYING ACROSS THE PLATES OR IOMIZING WIRES ON EACH CELL IF YOURS HAS TWO. ELECTRIC AIR CLEANERS ARE ONLY GOOD WHEN THEY ARE KEPT CLEAN ... PET HAIR IS A CONSTANT MAITENCE PROBLEM AND CELLS SHOULD BE LEANED EVERY TWO WEEKS. FOR BEST PERFOMANCE.
