SOURCE: Nokia N800 Tablet

I had the same problem with the n810. I was using a non-oem battery and the connections were a loose fit causing the battery not able to charge.
If you take the battery cover off, hold the battery firmly in place. Connect the charger and make sure battery is charging, then press the boot button. If it boots and stays on, then shuts off when you stop holding the battery. Then you probably have a loose connection or a bad battery. Also try cleaning the connector with a pencil eraser and alcohol.
I had to wedge tthe battery in place. You can find a spare battery with a desktop charger on Ebay for around $10US.

SOURCE: my android tablet is "frozen". Will turn on but

has anything been deleted from it when it has been plugged into a computer or has anything been deleted from the device itself from its root directory? if not and its gone like that by itself, it could be corrupted software or a missing root file which is usually bad at first, now what i know about some tablets is if it wont work theres a recovery file usually internally but this is in some tablets only that ive read about, i also have one but havent needed to try to restore it and it can be done from an engineering mode, this is possable by pressing the power button and another button like the home button at the same time once the unit is off untill it turns back on with options, but as for some models im not sure of but i will have to look this up at some stage as i am working on tablets at this time so unless you know what you are doing i wouldnt attempt it, once i have gotten through some tablets ill be able to give a better resolution on this subject with others. the advice ive given wont work for all as pressing power and home will start different options up on different tablets and versions.

To reset the tablet, you're going to have to do what's called a factory reset. To do this go into the settings, and look for tablet information. Under that it should contain a factory reset button.

I've had several issues but the one now is that all my tablet will do is show a pic of an android laying down with a red triangle on it bearing an exclamation mark. At the bottom of the screen it says NO...

1. Turn tablet off. You may need to use two hands in this process to press and hold buttons properly.

2. Turn on the tablet with power button, wait a full 2 seconds from the time the tablet starts showing the red Motorola logo, then press and hold the down Volume key. (you should not hold down the power button after it turns on and logo appears)

3. "Android Recovery" will appear on top of screen if timing is done correctly. Release volume button. (if you continue to press volume down at that message, the message will cycle through "RSD, Fastboot, and back to Android Recovery. Make sure message states Android Recovery before you go to next step). If stuck at a RSD protocol or Fast boot screen, reboot the tablet by holding power button then pressing the volume up).

4. While screen states "Android Recovery", Press volume up button, the screen will say "Entering Android recovery mode" and a few seconds later an Android robot graphic will appear alone on the screen. Release buttons.

5. Hold down power button and then press the volume up key together to see the Android Recovery screen menu selections.

6. Use the volume buttons to move up and down through selection in this menu.

7. Using the volume down button, scroll down to "Wipe data/factory reset"

8. Tap Power hard key to select option.

9. Scroll down to select "Yes, delete all user data".

10. Tap the power button to select. Wiping and formatting data will take a few minutes.

11. You will return back to the Android recovery screen menu.

12. Tap the Power button to "Reboot system now" which will power-cycle tablet and eventually power back on to the Initial Set-up / Welcome screen present when you first turned on your tablet.

Hi there! Ignore the other answer, they're giving a generic Google search result. On the screen with the Android, press the power and both volume buttons all together in quick intervals until a new screen pops up. Use the volume keys to select Data Wipes/Factory Reset, then do the same for yes, then restart the tablet

Kocaso M1066 won't get past the first blank white startup screen. Suggestions?

Memory could server me wrong, but on some tablets you have to hold down the reset button and the power button at the same time in order to get a complete reset. I think this one might fall into that category. The following sequence works with other models of the same manufacturer, so give these a go if the first suggestion fails.
The button to hold down is the menu button next to the home button. With it powered on hold down tthe menu and power buttons until it goes off, then release the power button and then hold it again while holding the menu button. An android with an exclamation and triangle will appear. Tap the power button and the menu for reset or updates appears. Select factory restore and follow instructions then select reboot at next screen.

Hope they help,
Gill

Either wait for it to die completely and turn it back on or hard boot it (holding down the power button till it shuts off).

My tablet comes on but has a green monster with a red triangle and it wont let my tablet get pass it

Hi.
There is corrupt data on the Proscan 7.
First of all if you have an SD card in the slot remove it and turn the Android on to see if it boots. If i does then you didn't have it inserted properly or its corrupt.
If is still shows a Android laying down then follow the procedure below.

1. IF YOUR TABLET IS ON, POWER IT OFF. 2. PRESS AND HOLD POWER UNTIL THE DEVICE POWERS ON, THEN IMMEDIATELY PRESS AND HOLD VOLUME DOWN (WHILE STILL PRESSING POWER). YOU WILL SEE THE WORD START WITH AN ARROW DRAWN AROUND IT.
3. PRESS VOLUME DOWN TWICE TO DESIGNATE RECOVERY MODE.
4. PRESS POWER TO RESTART INTO RECOVERY MODE. YOU WILL SEE AN IMAGE OF AN ANDROID ROBOT WITH A RED EXCLAMATION MARK.
5. WHILE HOLDING DOWN POWER, PRESS VOLUME UP.
6. USE THE VOLUME KEYS TO SCROLL TO "WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET" AND PRESS POWER TO SELECT IT. 7. SCROLL DOWN TO "YES - ERASE ALL USER DATA" AND PRESS POWER TO SELECT IT.

Regards.
