Insert your ( memory card , flash disk , cellphone , .... ) into your computer.
#2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
#4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
#5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
#6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

My jet, when i sync music into it. it says flash error! please back up the data and format the player

You have to plug the mp3 player into your pc and then click on format. The data inside may be corrupted and that is the reason why you are receiving the error. After the format, you can load music again and enjoy listening to your songs.

How can i delete all music from my mp3 rca series 10

Check to see if you can format it through the menus inside the mp3 player.
It might be in "Settings" or "Tools"
There will be an option called Format
Select and it "should" delete all music

If there is no Format on mp3 player

Plug it into the computer
Open device through "My Computer" or "Computer"
Select Folder where music is stored and delete.

To backup the data:
Connect the RCA Pearl to the computer
Double-click My Computer
Double-click the icon corresponding to the RCA Pearl
Double-click the Music folder
Create a temporary folder on your Windows desktop
Drag music files from the Music folder fo the Pearl to the temporary folder on your desktop

Are you sure you need to format the player?
Try updating the firmware first, especially if you have Windows Vista

512 MB Coby Mp3

Try connecting the MP3 to a computer and performing a complete format.

To do this , when the MP3 disk is recognised on computer, go to my computer, then click right mouse button on MP3 removable disk and chose format.
Chose full format fat32.
If the MP3 goes bad again, that means that the solid state disk inside is faulty, and does not hold the format anymore.

RCA Pearl TH1101A Mp3 Player

Hi there.

There are 2 ways to delete songs from your Sansa E260: By browsing the folders containing the songs, or by formatting the player.

To browse the player, it's important to know first that the player has 2 modes: MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) and MSC (Mass Storage1.gif Class). Music files saved on one mode would not be seen in the other mode when browsed through Windows Explorer.
You can switch modes by navigating your E260's menu using the following:

Menu >> Settings >> USB Mode

Next, plug your player in your PC and open Windows Explorer. You should first set your Explorer to "Show hidden Files1.gif and Folders" by going to the "Tools" menu (located on menu lists on Windows Explorer window), then choosing "Folder Options", then enabling the "Show Hidden Files and Folders" radio1.gif button

Deleting Music files under MTP Mode:

1. Your player should appear as a Sansa E260 icon in Explorer as a "Portable Audio Device". Double left-click this icon to browse the player.
2. You'll find a "PPI NAND" sub-folder. Again, double left-click on this sub-folder.
3. You'll find a series of sub-folders, one of which should be titled "Music". Double left-click this to open it.
4. Your music should appear as individual files or folders. Delete this to remove the file(s) from the player

Deleting Music files under MTP Mode:

1. Your player should appear as a Drive letter and entitled either as a "Removable Drive" or as "Sansa E260"
2. Double left-click on this drive letter to browse the player
3. You may find your music files immediately on this folder, or you'll find a series of sub-folders, one of which should be titled "Music". Double left-click this to open it and view your music files.
4. Delete the music files you want, and they should be removed from the player

Deleting files through Format:

1. Formatting the player erases all files in the player, and oftentimes this is the best option to ensure that all files are removed and any corruption eliminated. Also, it is best to format the player when in MSC mode.
2. When the appears as a drive letter (under MSC mode), right-click on that drive letter and select "Format". On the "Format" pop-up window, click "Start" to begin the format process.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts and safely remove the player from your PC when the "Format Complete" display appears.
4. Unplug the player from the PC and when the player is powered up, the message "No Files" should appear on the player's LCD screen
5. Switch the mode back to "MTP", or continue to use "MSC". Note: It is best to use "MTP" when you are transferring subscription music to the player

I hope this helps. :)
