I had download the full software for my HP printer M1522NF multifunction that come with Printer+Copier+fax+Scanner . But the scanner is not working . it shown error message :the software had trouble scanning or was cancelled.please try again. i'm using HP Pavilion TX2000 Notebook that operating Window Vista Home Edit.

If you have your printer hooked up to your computer, you must have a HP desktop icon that controls the printer. Go to "HP.COM" and download the software for your specific model. Open up the icon by clicking on it, find printer settings and scanner settings to make any changes you desire.

Your printer is going to need a scanner/copier transplant. Call a printer shop. They are going to have to look at it.

You need the printer serviced. The scanner/copier assembly at the top of the printer is in need of replacement. If it is still under warranty call HP. If not call a printer repair shop and get an estimate,

You need to perform a full install from the CD that comes with the printer. If you do not have the disk, download from here Chose the correct operating system version and download the software version that matches your geographical region. First option is for Canada/US.

Make sure printer is not connected to computer before starting the install, as it will result in install not finishing correctly. Plug printer in when install asks for it and everything should work fine.
