Denon dra 25 no power

I have a denon dra 25 reciever that I bought new. I have not used it for a number of years. When I plug it in and turn it on nothing happens. The off/on switch has continuity. There is power going to the power transformer regardless of whether the power switch is on or off. The power transformer is not warm. There is power to both the switched and the unswitched outlets on the rear of the unit regardless of the position of the off/on switch. There is no output on any of the three pairs of wires coming from the power transformer. Help!!

John,
If you have a multi meter then unpug from mains supply. With meter
on "ohms" range check the following:-
Fuse F501 (and F502 if mult-voltage model)
yellow to white on mains transformer this should show some resistance. If you have a mult-voltage model check
brown to gray and orange to white. Both should show some resistance, if not your mains transformer has an open circuit primary winding.....

SOURCE: Denon DRA-435R: First, the "switched" outlet

from your description its should be the switch or a loss connection
if it doean not power on now it could be the fuse
if you can open the unit follow the power cord inside you should see a glass fuse look if its burn if its ok its better to take to service

Fuse size for Denon DRA 697 c!

The Denon DRA-697CI is a stereo receiver. Typically, the fuse size for electronic devices like stereo receivers is listed in the device's manual or on a label near the power input. It's important to use the correct fuse size to ensure proper protection against electrical faults.
Without specific information about the fuse size for the Denon DRA-697CI, I recommend consulting the device's manual or contacting Denon's customer support for accurate information. Using the wrong fuse size can potentially damage the device or pose a safety hazard, so it's crucial to verify the correct specifications.

Size of fuse for Denon dra 697

The Denon DRA-697CI stereo receiver typically uses a 250V, 2.5A fuse. However, it's always a good idea to consult the user manual or check the label near the power input on the device itself to confirm the exact fuse size and specifications for your particular model. Using the correct fuse size is important for safety and to prevent damage to the receiver. If you're unsure, you can also contact Denon customer support for assistance.

I am a comercial electrician. My company installed 2 Denon recievers on a job and 1 has gone dead. There is power to the unit but no power to the recepticals on the back. Is there a reset or a fuse?

Are they "switched" recepticles? I believe they are but, the picture I'm looking at is too small. This is the manual for the unit;
http://usa.denon.com/DocumentMaster/US/DRA-397-OM-E_103.pdf
This is the link:
http://usa.denon.com/US/Product/Pages/Product-Detail.aspx?Catid=3ae4a4d9-ae28-4018-bb66-611b99e1320d&SubId=0&ProductId=8e00bd6c-d3e2-466f-b5a0-c7ebe94e0bd9
Just glancing at the manual, of course it doesn't mention a fuse but, I'm quite syre if you pull off the cover, there is a fuse or two on the circuit board. Anyway, I wasn't trying to be smart about the "switched receticles and, you probably already knew but, if they are switched recepticles, they will only work when the unit is turned on.

The power supply has burnt out on my denon dra-455 reciver.

It really depends what and how much burn't up? The only way to find out it to take the top cover off and look inside. A lot of parts in the power supply section can only be replaced by excat parts due to safety reasons. And are you certain it's the power supply that's gone up, and not the POWER AMP section? It could be just one part that started smoking. If any semi-conductor has burnt up, you might not be able to read the code number, in which case you will need the service manual.
SO GET LOOKING INSIDE!

No Power

There is a thermal fuse built into the main transformer. It is possible that the fuse is open.

Denon receiver (DRA 397) will not speak to iPod dock

IF YOUR NOT USING A DENON IPOD DOCKING STATION IT WILL NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY.
YOU CAN CONNCET OTHER TYPES OF IPOD DOCKING STATIONS BUT YOU WILL NOT HAVE CONTROL THROUGH THE DENON AND ONLY CONNECT THE AUDIO FOR THAT DOCKING STATION TO THE DENON AS ANOTHER SOURCE INPUT

Denon DRA 685

Could it be that the speakers load is too much for the amp to handle? What are the ohm ratings? It should handle a low load but I am just wondering? How effcient are they?
