Call directv and they will walk ya thru reporgramming remote for reciever. or goto menu, setup, remote, then follow on screen instructions. i cant give u the exact instructions cause every reciever is a bit different and its different if one remote operates two directv recievers. ( like a bar would do to operate two tvs with one remote)

My Samsung AH59-02402A remote for blue ray home theater system won't work. The BD/receiver button stays lit up

If the BD/receiver button on your Samsung AH59-02402A remote is continuously lit up and the remote isn't working, it may indicate that the remote is stuck in the wrong mode. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:
  1. Check the batteries: Replace the batteries in the remote and ensure they are inserted correctly.
  2. Reset the remote: Remove the batteries from the remote and press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Then, reinsert the batteries and try using the remote again.
  3. Check the mode button: Make sure that the mode button (e.g., BD/receiver, TV, cable) is not stuck. Press each mode button a few times to see if it's responsive.
  4. Re-sync the remote: If your remote is designed to control multiple devices, such as a TV and a home theater system, try re-syncing it with your device. Consult the user manual for instructions on how to do this.
  5. Try a universal remote: If none of the above steps work, you can try using a universal remote that's compatible with your home theater system.
If none of these steps work, it's possible that your remote is faulty and needs to be replaced. Contact Samsung customer support for further assistance.

Hello, I have a marantz SR4002 receiver with 6 JAMO speakers and a RC5001SR remote. It was all working fine through my optical (fibre cable) output from the receiver to the input of my TV. At first the...

My thoughts is that you have lost the settings of the system, when the remote stopped working. Try doing a full set up again as if it was new. You could also try a factory reset on it, the knowledge to this action should be in the manual.

My remotes won't work. Apparently the remote sensor is not working. This TV does not have a remote in plug on the back. Any ideas?

I have the same TV, but I don't understand what you mean about 'both remotes' or 'remote in plug on the back'. Do you mean a smart remote, the receiver for which connects via the USB?

The original remote uses the IR receiver on the TV. The smart remote only uses IR for the On/Off function; all other controls go via USB.

It is possible that the IR receiver in the TV has failed (I have replaced several on other devices). This is a cheap component, easily replaced by a competent solderer.

My remote won't work at all.

If no remotes work it is likely the remote receiver (ifrared and at front of set) is either dirty (lens) or bad.

A hint here is try original remote right up against the receiver--if works receiver is bad.

Note: original remote can be tested by a shop or even with most digital cameras--in a dark room the remote pointed at the camera and the lcd display will flash faintly when buttons on remote are pressed.

My remote is fine, but i don't know which button to push or sequence once I've changed batteries to for it to work the receiver. Each time I change the batteries it doesn't interact with the receiver, but...

Hi there,

It's likely that you've pressed one of the input mode buttons accidentally while changing the batteries. You've probably switched the remote for operation of a TV or DVD player or some other device.

To correct this problem, simply press the RECEIVER (TAPE/AMP) button once, then try the remote again. Pressing this button informs the remote that you wish to operate the receiver with it again. The RECEIVER button is about halfway down the left-hand side, above the TV button and below MACRO 1.

Please try this first. If the receiver still does not respond, switch the receiver off and back on again. It may have lost the communication with the remote. Resetting the receiver will usually correct this problem.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric.

jholsinger1,

It sounds like this is TV 1 that you are having this problem with the remote, is that correct? What has changed from when the remote was working till now? Was anything moved like the TV/receiver? You may have some type of interference with the UHF signal. Without getting more specific information, I'm generalizing the trouble shooting steps. Would you clarify if it's TV 1 or TV2. Please post to this site and I will respond back to you.

Remote control won't work

Could need a new ir sensor or repair solder connections on the display (ir) board. You can check that the remote is putting out a signal by viewing it with a camcorder, turn the camera on look through the viewfinder and point the remote at it push a button. If it is working you will see a flashing light on the remote.

I would like to use my DTV receiver as a hard drive

The first solution is to remove the hard drive and just plain plug it in to the mother board, I am not sure why i didn't think about this in the first place.
