You didn't specify the model of your Concord camera, but most of them take SD cards. SD cards are getting a little hard to find, but you should still be able to find them at most department, electronics, and office-supply stores. Check the manual to see whether your camera also can take SDHC cards. SD cards are limited to 2GB or smaller, while SDHC cards go from 4GB to 32GB.

SOURCE: Memory Card Error

Sounds like the camera does not support SDHC. Check manual to see if this camera supports high capacity SD cards.

Hey flowernthe,
The error message “card cannot be read" means there was and error when the camera tried to access the memory card. To fix this you should make sure you are using the right kind of memory card, which for this kind of camera is a SD card, and it does not support SDHc cards. Since this camera uses SD cards I would make sure the slider on the side of the card is not set to the locked position. If this doesn't help I would make sure the memory card connecters are clean, and if they're not you can use a rubber eraser to clean them up. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

I have a Concord Eye-Q Duo 2000 Camera that needs a new memory card. I want to know if it is possible to purchase one, how to get it if it is possible and how many more times do I have to type and ask

Hi, I believe this takes an SD CARD, NOT MICRO SD but full size. I am sure that they are available on Ebay.co or the ebay operation in your country.
Any reputable electronics retailer in your local main street should stock them too, it is a widely available item but ensure you get the size appropriate for your device as if they are too large they may not be recognised.

Concord eye q 4363z says card error when put in sd card and says formatting will erase all data

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

Im trying to download my photos, from my camera onto the FinePix download, But when i click and wait for my camera to connect, Nothing happens. [email protected]

Okay I can see after reading through some of this cameras manual that the download features is done through the FinePix software. If the programing isn't loaded correctly or possibly you have the viewer up not the download window/program. It's a simple task and this system is way to complex. What possible problems you may be having is that the pictures you are attempting to download are in the camera memory not the memory card. Most point and shoot cameras can not download to the computer from camera internal memory they need to be transferred to a memory card first then to the computer. If the memory card is being used and not internal memory I'd suggest looking at the memory card to see that it's not locked I'll include a generic type diagram to show this little switch.

Okay a quick recap, memory card lock, possible internal memory trying to download, camera to computer software issues, failure to connect the USB cable to the USB port on the computer.

If you don't mind a suggestion I'd suggest buying a card reader and bypass the camera and software to download. The card reader can be purchase as a single card to fit your memory card type or a multiple memory card reader, which ever the computer looks at is as an external device, like an external Hard Drive or printer. You need to make a folder to put the pictures in "My Documents" or "Documents" "PC or Mac".

Transfer the camera files into the folder which can be opened in your FinePix programing. Then do a safely remove of the device or eject PC or Mac what every you have make sure you shut off the feed before taking the memory card out. Then format the memory card in the camera cleans all the old pictures off and make the camera and memory card compatible once again.

Hope this was a help and didn't confuse the issue, Robert in Canada

I have replaced the battery and memory card, the camera keeps saying I need to format the card, but then it says it is formatting, then gives another message saying the card needs to be formatted....

If the memory card replacement is an SDHC model card the Kodak z740 will not work with it. The memory card has to be a standard SD card of 2 gig size or less to properly function. Take card out and turn on camera. See if you get same error. You should get missing card error but otherwise be able to operate camera controls such as zoom, flash, etc. If that is fine find old card you used and place back in camera... or purchase a standard SD card from Walmart for 10 dollars
