Targus Bluetooth Laser Mouse Rechargeable Battery Trouble

I just got the Targus Bluetooth Laser Mouse, and I do not believe the rechargeable batteries are actually charging when it is connected to the USB, while I am working while on my computer. It has been about 6 hours charging, but when I unplug the mouse from the USB, it is unresponsive. Any solutions?

It will respond only while plugged in, and I have tried my two other USB ports, and no luck

Check batterys to make sure there placed in mouse properly.try other usb ports.Batterys may be bad from factory.try some other rechargeables in it.if you have a charger for rechargeable batterys place the batterys in that and see if they charge.if they do then your pc is not charging them correctly/

I agree with pumpkinman. but do try a different usb port because sometimes there is a high and a low for usb, so the one your using may not be right for that device. im not really sure on the why, ive seen it once in a while.

Can I get a new Charging cable for this model or can I use another cable

I read this is a mouse that runs on batteries not a cable. The red light on my mouse keeps on blinking

Here's a guide;
What do the battery lights mean on my mouse? Some keyboard and mouse models feature a battery light that shows the current status of the batteries. The following table describes the different lights and states.
Light
Device Model Status Single long green blink Rechargeable Batteries are good. This occurs when batteries are first installed or every time that the device is turned on. Slow green blink Rechargeable Device is docked in the charging station and is charging properly. Steady green Rechargeable Device is docked in the charging station and does not need additional charging. Steady green Presenter Mouse (Japanese version) Laser pointer is on. Red/green blink Wireless Device is discoverable (trying to connect to the transceiver). Slow red blink Non-rechargeable Batteries are low and need to be replaced. Slow red blink Rechargeable Batteries are low and need recharging. Fast red blink Rechargeable Device is docked in the charging station, but there is a charging error.
Reasons for errors: The wrong type of battery is installed; the battery or batteries are missing; or the battery connection is bad.
Solutions: Make sure that the correct battery or batteries are installed, and are installed correctly. If necessary, remove the batteries, wipe them with a clean cloth, and reinsert them. Steady red Presenter Mouse (Standard version) Laser pointer is on.

Mouse works fine when cord is in it but when it comes to wireless the mouse does not last long. How long should I charge the mouse with the batteries in it plugged to the computer?

Rechargeable batteries do expire after a while either get new ones or get a battery tester to see how much life they have left. under normal circumstances a new set of batteries last me about two weeks before i have to recharge them and my computer stays on 24/7 including the mouse with at least 5 or more hours of use per day.

I have a new vaio VGP-BMS77 bluetooth mouse. It is paired with my new VPCZ1190X Vaio Laptop. After about a day and a half it stops working and I have to revert back to my usb wireless mouse to continue...

Mine was fine at first but now it does the same as yours. I suspect the rechargeable battery needs replacing but I can't find anywhere in the world that sells them separatey to the mouse :-(

Mice usually don't use rechargeable batteries.
I would recommend you use a good quality alkaline battery.

Targus wireless mouse amw05 does not work, I put in new batteries and pushed button on mouse and receiver. Still nothing. Using Windows XP

The reciever is poorly designed. The green and/or white wires are probably broken on the inside.(pins 2 and 3)

My computer recognizes the mouse, and connects to it, but the mouse doesn't work. It is flashing green then red on the battery indicator.

I had the same problem and it turned out that it had nothing to do with the batteries.

Go to the bluetooth indicator on your computer and disable the device. Then restart your computer.

When the computer is restarted set the mouse into "discoverable mode" which is the flashing red/green thing and it should find your computer.

This worked for me!
