Another great mitsubishi tv introduced in 2002 chassis # v20b,Most problems with this fine tv have been no problems..... but power supply capacitors and convergence ic's. This tv is equiped with the diagnostic led codes for your tech. but i'm sure he will skip that step and head right for the fuses that open when the convergence ic's go bad. Get it fixed !! it'll last another 6 or 7 years.

The green crt is dawning to much current, and that is why the TV is shutting down, if you remove the speaker cover, there is a focus block, that has six controls, on it three are for red blue, and green screen voltages, if you turn green down where the retrace lines go away, the TV should stay on, it is not worth fixing, you would be better off getting a new LCD.
Convergence IC's inside of your TV are nearing end of the life. If during adjustments that you made Red and Blue was moving in all directions (left, right, down, up) than resistors and fuses still probably OK. IC's (part number will start with "STK" and they attached to huge aluminum radiators) have to be replaced and fresh heat sink compound have to be applied. After that convergence adjustments should not be a problem. And color will stay together for another several years. regards. Russ.
The TV is going into a "protect mode", the micro-processor has sensed a circuitry problem and has shut the set down so that no furhter damage can happen, you will need to have the TV serviced by a Mitsubishi tech. Good luck !
98% chance the fuse or fuses (there are two 5 amp pico fuses) that protect the convergence circuit are blown. If you find F9AO4 OR F9AO5 on that board check them--if either is open the STK-393-110 DID IT.
Fairly short life for this chip if it was installed correctly and had heat sink compound applied to it--once in a while you get a bad one.
