You did not mention what type of machine you have, but, sounds to me like you have a fuser problem. With a Canon ( which is what it sounds that you have) you need to open the front door and press a service switch on the left by the counter and see what the code is.

I was sure it was a canon, no , there is a pinhole under the counter put a paper clip in it to activate. It will bring you into the service mode.

It's been awhile since I've worked on a canon, so I don't recall the exact steps.

after getting in the service mode try to push on the clear , stop or #  to see if it gives you a error code.

and check this list for what it is:

Why Bottom freezer drawer wont stay open

Freezer and refrigerator doors aren't usually supposed to stay open. The units are usually installed so that they're slightly tilted to the back to make sure gravity will close the doors if you forget to. If you are SURE - I mean really SURE - that you want your freezer to stay open you should check the drawer rails to see if they're adjustable; if they are, trying raising the back of the rails (or lowering the front). If the rails are not adjustable, try adjusting the front feet of your fridge so that the front of the whole unit is just a tiny bit lower than it is now. Don't lower it too much! If you do, the doors won't stay closed; they'll leak cold air and you'll lose food.

MFC 7820n 'close back door error'

Hello Daysinn,

The "back cover open" message is usually caused by a paper jam inside the printer.
Follow these steps to rectify the problem.

1. Unplug the power to the printer.
2. Open the back and front cover.
3. Remove the drum and toner, this may be difficult because it may be stuck; don't be afraid to pull hard, you wont break anything.
4. Check for any foreign objects, most likely a peice of paper.
5. Reinstall the drum and toner.
6. Make sure to close the front and back covers.
7. Turn the power back on.

If the message stays after all this, there may be a sensor not working.

Thanks,

Pat

I just replaced the toner. Toner light on

Keep opening and closing the front door until the toner catches up. Did it have a plastic seal that you forgot to pull off?
