Receiver clicked when turned the surround dial, then started blinking "analog Volume -29dB" as well as a red light blinking next to multi room on top left of display
Check Speaker connections at BOTH ends and double check to see that they are on the right terminals.
If you need a manual . the Marantz site will have one . PLus they may have FAQ notes for that receiver
Cheers

DSP (Digital Signal Processing) Board is probably defective or has Poor solder Connection on one of the Ic's on that board. Board cannot be Obtained from Marantz. Must be troubleshot at component Level and requires a very knowledgable tech to repair it. I have done a few of these in the past and usually charge $50 to Evaluate and Give estimate. SOURCE: Loss of volume on left channel
please repeat speaker setting from your manual and confirm that left channel is ok.-invert left channel plug with right channel plug if the problem moves from left to right you will have the problem in your speaker or its cable-if not the problem in your receiver itself.
you can apply contact cleaner in volume control and move it forward and backward and test.

It is likely that the PA stage has developed an offset voltage in the output stage. The faulty amplifier channel can be found by progressively disconnecting the collectors of the of the power transistors until the protection fault disappears. Once the faulty channel is found the the cause of the offset has to be traced to the faulty transistor or resistor. Don't forget that if you can smell smoke or burning then there are likely to be components(esp transistors) that have been damaged by the fault.
I had a Luxman unit that destroyed 5 transistors in the output stage that was due to an open .5W resistor in the driver stage.
Good luck.
