Invacare Lynx L-4 Scooter: Just received. I plugged it in for charge and the light shows green. According to the manual, it should be yellow or red until it is fully charged and then it turns green. What's up with this?

SOURCE: My wife has an Invacare Buzz scooter - I have got

The Buzz breaks down into four pieces for transport. Electrical connections must be unclipped to separate it completely. It is possible that one of the connections isn't completely clipped together, so my first check (after you have made sure that you have it plugged into a working outlet!), would be to take it apart and then reconnect everything firmly. While you are at it, you should look for any other clip-connections and undo, then redo all of them. Even those that "look okay". Inspect the connections metal fittings for signs of corrosion or dirt that may be causing a high-resistance connection, and clean as necessary. Run you fingers along the wiring to check for any places that my have been damaged, breaking a wire connetion in mid-stream. Make sure the connections to the batteries are clean and free of any corrosion too. Be sure to check the fuses to make sure you haven't blown one, and also push in your circuit breaker. These sometimes trip while charging due to spikes caused by thunderstorms. If you do all this and it still isn't charging, you'll need to open the shroud at the head of the tiller and inspect the connections running up inside the tiller, and the connections going to the PC board located at the very top of the shroud where the thmb-paddles hook into the electrical system. There should be a fuse inside there too, so check that.

Good luck.

SOURCE: Have an invacare patriot LX4. Unit takes full

Check to see if the scooter is in freewheel mode. To know if the batteries are bad you need to charge them for 10 - 12 hours and then have them tested with a load tester.

Are both lights supposed to be green i have 1 red 1 green on my battery for my invacare scooter

Mine is an Invacare M51 Pronto Surestep with an onboard Winsunny battery charger. My charging lights are solid red and green/ yellow. Depending on if it is charging or not. What kind of charger do you have?
I have to replace my charger because it is not working. My green light is staying green while charging even though my joystick is showing my batteries are depleting and I just got new batteries. sigh.

HI Scooter is on charge full time and used daily after 30min i loose the first green light that is OK but if i dont use it for one or two days i loose the first green light only after 10min can you...

well it could be that you overcharged the batteries. You should not leave the scooter on the charger full time. you should charge the scooter nightly while you sleep unplug from the charger when you get up in the morning. the charger should not be on the scooter more than 12 hours per day and that rare. Whenever you have a red and green light on the charger the scooter is fully charged and can be unplugged. Always put it up fully charged and then charge after each use. Your batteries need to be replaced and charge the new ones before use then charge overnight each day that you use the scooter. If you don't use it for a few days you should still be fully charged than charge after use Hope this helps

My Lynx L4 4-Wheel scooter green light flashing but it said it is charge it wont go forward

the green flashing light indicates an error with the scooter. Count the number of flashes 4 flashes pause 4 flashes pause etc and your manual should give you the meaning of the flashes Check to make sure that you are not in freewheel move the lever at the back of the scooter up and down a few times and make sure you leave it in drive mode turn on the power and see if the light stops flashing and the scooter will operate correctly Hope this helps
