The amp has 7 LED's in total 4 whiteLED's provide back lighting
the bi-colour LED white/ amber is the power/standby indicator (amber when amp is in standby mode)
The two red LED's are on the Phono Board and form part of the phono amplification circuit.( D1 & D2)They are NOT fault indicators and should be lit during normal operation.

And those lights could be seen, while listening music?
Perhaps they only have a function for a technician, to tell everything is all right?
An amplifier is not made to look inside, just to amplify.
Even when something is wrong, it is not wise to open electronic equipment. Be aware that although it looks harmless, inside are voltages that can harm you. And when you have electronic skills, you know you only should work when you have a service manual.

The light power is red and it smell like melt

on an amplifier that usually means that its burnt out, or that you've melted one of the wires. check the ground wires and whatever you have the amp sitting on. if everything looks alrite then its most likely the inside of the amp is fried.

There is a red light shinig inside my CROWN XLS

Lots of electronics have lights (LEDs) that turn on when they are plugged it. Most people just don't notice them. If it is working properly, then the light is normal.

Well my 5500 amp has evidently stoppe functioning.

What I would do is look around inside and see if anything is burnt or broken, pay close attention to the heat sink area.
With neither channel working you have something that's common to both channels that is causing the trouble.
You should be able to see any fuse by looking inside, they might be covered up, but should be easy to get to.

Red over light is on

I believe you have a short in your RCA jacks. Try unplugging both RCA's and see if the red light goes off. Your amplifier is in what they call protection. Meaning something is causing the circuitry to fail.

Red Status Light

The most common cause for the protection LED to be lit is shorted output transistors. I'm not familiar with that amp but if you can send me some decent quality photos of the insides, I can tell you what to check.

You should only continue if you intend to replace the defective transistors yourself.

Red light 2

Probably not, as i said there are no user serviceable parts inside this unit. If the units worth it to ya take it in to be estimated. Good Luck
