I just bought a farenheit dvd player for my van .. my problem is that the van has a dc12v and the dvd dose not .. there are 3 wires on the back were as the dc 12v has 2 one hot one ground... the 3 on the back of the dvd are yellow (memory) red (hot) and black (ground) when we hooked up the red and black nothing happened we did have the hole unit grounded also.. what have we done wrong ?

Try Hokking the Yellow Memory wire to a 12 V supply. I should work. If you need the dvd to turn off automatically change your red 12 V to ignition.
