Put in rechagable batteries but the camera wont turn on , what can i do, can i get a ac adopter for the camera so that i wont need the batteries!!! where can i get one
Have you tried a set of alkalines? They hold slightly more charge than rechargables. Also, your rechargables can go dead really, really fast. I use 'em but I always keep a set of alkalines handy, just 'cuz.

1.Remove ,the battery and adopter from your machine. 2.And then press the power button form 36 Second. 3.And then refix your battery and adopter to your machine. 4.boot your system 5.if you will get the same problem again means suspected issue with main board.
Try removing the batteries then either plugging your camera in with the
AC adapter or the docking station. Try cleaning the contacts from the battery and the battery compartment of the camera. If your camera works with either one
of these then you have a problem with either the batteries or the
battery contacts. If your camera doesn't work with the AC adapter then
you will have to send the camera in for repair.
I'm afraid to tell you that you will need a new ac adaptor. Your ferritt chewing threw your cord did not blow any kind of fuse (besides the fact that there isn't one).
Basically you can search on amazon.com they always have great deals and price comparisons on things of this nature.
Hope this helps steer you in the right direction, thank you for choosing Fixya!
Check that you are using the correct type of batteries and that they are rechageable as i found i had a similer problem when using just normal non recargeable
TIPS: 1.)NEVER PUSH THE LENS IN AFTER CAMERA DIES, BUY A NEW BATTERY IMMEDIATLY AND TURN IT BACK ON, CLOSING THE LENS!
2.)NEVER USE AN AC ADAPTER, USE A RECHARGEABLE BATTERY OR A REGULAR BATTERY!
..to fix this...
Do as i say..
1.) Remove battery 2.) Remove front plate (screw driver may be needed) 3.) Check all gears, make sure they are correctly fitted in place) 4.) Move the gear manually to make the lens come out. 5.) keep it out, put the front plate back together. 6.) reinsert the battery, turn it on.
or... 1.) Remove the battery. 2.) Wait about 6-8 hours. 3.) Reinsert the battery.
or... 1.) Remove the battery. 2.) Try hooking it up through AC adapter, put correct voltage. 3.) Try turning it on. 4.) Remove AC adapter, reinsert battery. 5.) Turn it on. If nothing happens just tell me..
I had the same problem and i called up cutomer support on 1300 659 678 (Australia) and they said that the problem may lie in your batteries. It was advised that you use Lithium batteries, and to avoid use of Alkaline, since they dont have the required power to operate the camera which is why it turns off right away.
As to what type of rechageable batterires to use i am not sure, i think it was Nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) batteries.
Hope this solves your problem.
