You have to do a code search as explained in the instructions for your Philips universal remote control. Your Panasonic VCR will not respond unless the correct code is found and entered.

DISH Solo DVR VIP612 Program TV or VCR Remote Code

7c06801.jpg

Would you like to program the Universal Remote that came with your Dish Solo DVR 612 to control your primary TV or a VCR? (Instructions to setup a receiver, tuner, stereo, second TV or second VCR are a little different, but can be found here.)

e818a57.jpg

To setup your Dish Solo DVR VIP 612 Universal Remote, follow these steps to enter the remote control codes to control a primary TV or a VCR:

  1. Turn the device you would like to control on.
  2. Find the brand name of the device you would like to control in the control code tables on page 112 of the Dish Solo DVR 612 User Manual.
  3. Press and hold the mode button (TV or VCR) until all the other buttons light up, and then let go. The mode button will flash.
  4. Enter one of the three-digit codes from the tables in the manual.
  5. If you want to program Limited Mode, press 1. If not, skip to the next step. (You can add or remove Limited Mode later.)
  6. Press POUND (#). The mode button will flash three times.
  7. Press POWER to turn off the device. If the device does not turn off, skip to step 9.
  8. Turn the device back on and try some of the other buttons to make sure they work. If the code works, stop here.
  9. If the code didn't work, repeat steps 3 through 8 with the next device code from the tables in the manual.
Your device control codes for your TV or VCR are now programmed into your DISH Solo DVR VIP 612.

Help for programing a tuner, receiver, 2nd VCR, or 2nd TV using the AUX mode button can be found here.

I hope that helps.

No channels listed on tv after reset was done

The entire memory was wiped off as you had reset the TV . Soo all you need is to open the menu and choose the settings, choose the auto programming and scan.
Once the programs listed on your cable or network has memorised you can shift the channels to the required selected program numbers to your desire.

The car wont come out of park

The problem is with the shift interlock switch...the device which prevents the transmission from being shifted out of park without the brake pedal pressed. The switch is usually located somewhere under dash near steering column on column shift models and under the console on floor shift models. Have it replaced.

Using the select shift in my 2009 sonata

The purpose of shift tronic is to give the driver the option of driving like a manual where you command the shift, or auto for easy driving (little effort). It is not specifically used just to down shift or upshift. When you are in 5th gear, thats it, it will do in it normal mode or sport shift.

Remote control

I used a GE Universal remote. The package has number 24921 and the instruction manual says it's a RM24912. Anyway, this model will control pretty much all aspects of this tv combo assuming we are talking about the KLH KDT133UY tv/dvd.

What you need to do is program the tv button on the remote to code 0029 which is a KONKA code. The real maker of KLH electronics. Then set the dvd/vcr button to code 0905. Now in order to access the tv menu, press the tv button then press the shift button which is the setup button. Then press the INFO button for menu. SHIFT, MENU, OK, and EXIT are printed with a black backgroung on the remote. Hince you need to press shift.

Took a while to figure it out, but here you go. Good Luck!
