you own only 1 license of the software that you used when you installed it on the desktop, You could call adobe about it but they will tell you to buy a new license which is the legal thing to do.

1 License 1 Computer.

SOURCE: I got a Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard CD and trying to

check the CD for defects, or dust, there are commercially available kits for repairing scratched, or damaged disks, as long as the " silver " looking portion of the disk is intact.

You may be able to download the software directly from Adobe and install it using your installation code.

Problems with activation of adobe acrobat 8 professional

Follow these steps to install "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional" :

1. Double-click on the setup file.

2. Folow the instructions, and the installation will continue.

3. When asked to activate the product, choose "More Activation Options" and "Activate Over Phone".

4. You will now be given an "Activation Number / Authorisation Code".

5. Use this code and serial to activate your product!

* Internet or Phone connection is required for "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional" product activation !
