It probably means that the update didn't go as planned (which is more common with Android OTA updates than people think). Bring the phone to your carrier for assistance, they can redo the update.
You may try turning off the bluetooth on your phone, turning off the speaker, turning back ON the speaker and then turning on the bluetooth on your phone again. This should reset the phone to SEARCH for BT-100.
Once you SEARCH for available devices you should see BT-100 on the list. Select BT-100 and it should pair. If it does not CONNECT be sure to press BT-100 again to connect. The speaker will BEEP, indicating that the speaker and the phone are now connected.
If you continue to have trouble feel free to contact the manufacturer at [email protected] or going to http://www.contelusa.net
You will need to be sure that your device has BLUETOOTH. If it has bluetooth please turn on the bluetooth settings on your android device. You will now want to turn on the speaker.
Using the android device you will search for available bluetooth devices. Once you see BT-100 you will select that to PAIR. Some devices will automatically CONNECT after the devices have been paired. If not, please press BT-100 again to CONNECT. The BT-100 speaker should BEEP indicating that they have connected and the speaker is now ready to use.

Is the device (phone, tablet, etc) paired with another bluetooth device that is within range?
If the answer is YES to either of the above questions this could be what is causing the problem. Please note that most devices (phones, tablets, etc.) can only connect to ONE bluetooth device at a time. Also note that the BT-100 speaker can only connect to ONE device at a time.
The speaker can only pair with one device. I had the same issue pairing it with my phone and then to my iPad.
You simply need to unpair it with your daughters iPod by turning off the bluetooth on that iPod, turn off then back ON the speaker and connect again to your own iPod by turning on the Bluetooth, Selecting BT100 from the list and wait for it to say CONNECTED (not paired). Hope this helps!
