I use a harmony remote and when I turn the power on it turns on my cable box, tv, and bose system. The bose speakers crackle every time the tv turns on. If I manually turn on everything and turn the tv on first then the speakers I don't get a crackle. The speakers are placed about 1 ft above the tv and the subwoofer is about 1 foot below the tv. The tv is a 40" samsung LCD tv. The only time I hear the crackling is when the tv turns on.

I have the same question. I just called Bose at 1-877-210-3782 (prompt 6) and they have two solutions:
1. 20 foot Input extension - $25
2. Input adaptor - $12 (you can run your own speaker cable to the input adaptor)

Unplug the speaker plug and the power plug. Let it sit for a minute. Plug the speakers in and then the power and try again. Hope this helps.I have seen this many times and this is usually the solution.
You will need a Component Video Cable
Connect the Red Green and Blue Connections from the TV to the Bose.
if your audio is coming from the TV, also connect stereo audio from the TV's audio out to the "TV" input on the bose.
if you want to hook up other devices (VCR, BluRay, etc) the video will go directly to the TV and audio will go directly to the Bose

We just got a Bose Cinemate system and have the same issue - none of the listed codes for the Synergy V work.
Has anybody got this to work yet?
If your TV does not have any audio output jacks, you can connect the CineMate™ speaker
system to the audio output jacks of another source, such as a DVD player or cable/satellite
box. However, you will hear sound only from the connected source through your CineMate
speakers.
