SOURCE: I need to reset the entire program on the f40. System settings and all

The EASY but Time consuming way (If you Only hagve USB 1), is to just RESET the unit.
The manual will run you through it, and reload.
I have both Gigabeat Room, and Win/Player 11, and have reset and reloaded a few times.
Just take some time (Specially with Gig Room)
Good Luck

SOURCE: Computer does not recognize Gigabeat Device

the solution is simple. Simply Run both Gigabeat watcher and giga-room programs as administrator if u have windows vista.
How to do this :

Click on start in the taskbar at the bottom right of your screen,
then click on all programs,
then click on the Toshiba Gigaroom Folder,
then right click Gigabeat watcher and click on "Run as Administrator"
then right click "Gigaroom" and click on Run as Administrator

and then look in the bottom right of the taskbar, the little Gigabeat watcher symbol should be there with a green square instead of grey. If its green then it means Vista has recognised your gigabeat and u can now transfer music to it via gigaroom. i hope this helps people as i was on the verge of buying XP myself again... Peace all and HAPPY GIGABEATIN!

SOURCE: Is transfer from Gigabeat to iPod possible?

There are programs like sound taxi that will do it easily but they do charge for them. If all of the files are on your computer just add them to iTunes and they'll all transfer to your ipod. If not just transfer them from your Gigabeat to your computers music file. Add the file to your iTunes and then sync your ipod to your computer and all of your songs will be on your ipod. Unfortunately without paying for a transfer program you will loose all of your playlists and organization files.

System error 00200060 NO SYSTEM FOUND ON HDD ona Toshiba MEGF40. I tried firmware upgrade, reformatting but not working hellp me

Okay, here's what you need to do. I'm assuming at some point yours like mine was formatted under windows. This is bad for them lol. Locate your copy of gigabeat room, and install it. This comes with a extra program in the start menu titled formatting utility for gigabeat. Format with this program, and then look under program files/toshiba/gigabeatroom/GBsystem. Copy GBsystem to the gigabeat, then turn the battery off with the switch on the bottom for thirty seconds. That should do it.

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!

This can only be done with a computer running USB 1.0. My newer computers could not "see" the gigabeat properly. I used an old machine with outdated USB to get mine to work again :) you can also check for aftermarket firmware called Rock Box, just installed that one mine, no more converting music to *.sat, it'll take straight mp3s now just like it should :) uploaded 20 gigs to it in less than half an hour :) beats the hell out of waiting ten hours for 8 gigs lol!
