Wifi adapter dont work but i can connect with my phone

Most likely your phone's inbuilt WiFi adapter is defective

Can you activate/initialize tethering and hotspot on your phone; as this allows other devices find your phone for internet connection using wifi

If you can, then try WiFi once again

Yes definitely ,I think i need lots more information about router version, IEEE standard.

but first you should find out what kind of Internet router you are using and always purchase a Wi-Fi adapter that is compatible with the Wi-Fi standard of your wireless router.

Hey,try checking with different laptop or phone connecting with your wifi.You will figure it out whether it is a wifi problem or your phone.If it is the phone problem try to reset so that it may solve the problem.Because i had undergone the same and i tried to reset as it is a brand new phone and i dnt have much applications , pictures and other stuffs on my phone and it worked fine.I dont know how it solved the issue, but i guessed it would solve and i performed the reset.You can also try with this.Good luck:)

Go to 'Start > Settings > Connections tab > Wi-Fi > Network Adapters tab' and make sure that the 'My network card connects to:' dropdown menu is set to 'The Internet'.

I assume your talking about your mobile phone's wifi. No you can't use a cable to connect to your "mobile's wifi" wifi means wireless. You would need a wireless adapter/card on your computer to connect your pc to the internet. You can get a wireless adapter/card for pretty cheap here is a link to an example:

look its an ADAPTER an adapter ADAPTS to the internet BUT for the internet you neeed WIFI.. BY a ROUTER Or by your DSL set up the wifi and your ADAPTER WILL pick up your WIFI once they ADAPT you can connect to the internet.. RATTTE

Hmm ok. so tell me does it lock up if you dont connect to the internet?
What operating system are you using?
Have you checked with the manufacturer of your wifi card for updated drivers?

Go to 'Start > Settings > Connections tab > Wi-Fi > Network Adapters tab', and make sure the dropdown menu 'My network card connects to:' is set to 'The Internet'.
Hope you are able to connect to the internet via WiFi this way.

Hello,

The first thing that I would advise you to do is,

Uninstall the WiFi Adapter totally from the System first,

Then go to "scan for hardware changes",

This will bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your Wifi Adapter).

After this, Press your Wifi button on the system and ensure that it is On, then Scan for wireless networks.

It should connect like that.

(In case you dont know how to uninstall the Adapter, Right-Click on my computer Icon, Properties, Device Manager, then select the Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall.)

If your laptop does not have a wireless card built into the computer then yes I would go and buy a usb wifi adapter because you cant get wifi if you dont get one.
