No, that is not possible. That's because you need an ASUS-specific charging cable to charge either the tablet or the dock/keyboard (or the docked combination of the two). You can however use any charger with a USB-port that outputs at least 2 Amperes. So you need to buy a new ASUS charging cable (and a suitable charger, if you don't have one already)
1. how old is your tablet 2. have you tried another charger such as a phone charger. My blackberry charger works fine for my tablet. Also with your tablet you should have had a usb cable that connected from mini usb to the asus plug in transformer.
The way to Hard Reset ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 to Full Factory Reset:
For those who have any troubles with your ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, use the 10-12 sec force power off trick to attempt a fix. If that doesn't help, backup whatever you want to keep and perform a full factory reset.
Some times you will discover error when asus transformer hard reset, like not responding to your device or your gadget not responsible. Don't be worry, simply just restart this and wait a minute. I think's it's side-effects of hard reset ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1.
So, greyhen2, we meet again. Here's the answer I gave to your other posting of this same question:
The battery on the Asus does take a very long time to charge (over 12 hours before you use it the first time, then 8 hours or more each time). It takes even longer if you charge it from the USB port in a computer rather than connect it to its dedicated charger, or if you use it while it's charging. If you've already charged it for 8-12 hours, try turning it on by pressing the power button *and holding it down* for a couple of seconds before releasing it. Then, when using the tablet, try keeping it hooked up to the charger when possible, or at least recharge it overnight.
You can check on battery charge by tapping "Settings" at the bottom of the Home screen, then tap "Battery" in the Device category. The % charge will be at the top of the screen. I enjoy my Asus tablet, and it's good for several hours at a time between charges, but you do have to keep it charged up. Good luck!
I had this problem, then I disconnected the two black plastic parts of the plug, and there were two steel pins in there, I thought they were leaning in a bit, so I just bent them away from each other, put it all back together and my charger has worked fine ever since.
