My thermostat showing on screen 76F when really room temperature is 70F and I HAVE MEASURED PROPER room sensor resistance OHMS to real room temperature. Why thermostat showing higher temperature and n

Where is the thermostat in relation to the return? Is there air flow or is the air stagnant in the area of the thermostat. Have you placed a thermometer in varios locations where the thermostat is located? Try these locations and see if the thermostat needs to be placed in a location better able to reflect room temperature. Also how long have you lived in the house? If it is a newer home I suggest that you contact the builder or the air conditioner/heater installer to see if they have a schematic of the placement of the thermostats.

In house temp is high and furnace stll goes on

Might be dust in the thermostat. Filters might be dirty. I would call a service man before the house burns down!

New a/c - furnace installed, no instruction manual, it is 23 degrees outside, and I have no idea how to turn on heat instead of a/c. Need thermostat instructions.

Usually just put the thermostat fan on auto, the a/c heat switch to heat and set the temperature where you want it. If it's a gas furnace, you will need to light the pilot. Usually instructions are on the furnace door, maybe inside furnace door.

Changed thermostat and resivor tank and still it over heats...Would changing the oil make a difference?...And what could be the problem?

if you changed the thermostat and res. I'd say your heater-core is clogged or the radiator, or your fans are not turning. Could also be your coolant is to diluted with water as in 70 percent water 30 percent collant.

Where is thermostat located on 2004 suburban

I'm not an expert but I have changed a few thermostats in my time on different cars and most times the stat is located where the top coolent hose come off the radiator and goes into the engine thats where the thermostat should be and dependeing on the location it should only take about 15 min to change depending on your skill, hopefully that helps you.But if it is behaving like you mentioned it might be your water pump going bad , I just went through a simular problem.

I have the Renewaire Energy Recovery ventilator system, Model EV130, installed in my house but do not know how to set it to the proper setting. The runtime numbers go from 10 to 100 and I am not sure what...

The RenewAire system is sized per ASHRAE 62-1999, residential air exchange of .35 air changes per hour, or 8 air changes per day. You can find an operation sheet for the PTL @ www.renewaire.com, downloads, residential, controls, PTL. A chart shows a starting point of ventilation based on the square footage x 8 foot ceiling height with a run time percentage for each model. For 2250 square feet with 8 foot ceilings, the run time for an EV130 is 85%, cycling hourly.

Actual run time will vary by tightness of house, number of occupants, lifestyle (number and frequency of pollutant generating activities). Outside weather conditions should have little effect on run time percentage. I run my system @ 50% year round, when the windows are shut.

The ERV tempers humidity and temperature extremes of the ventilation air year round. It is not a substitute for heating or A/C; it does not dehumidify the house in summer (it does reject some of the incoming summer humidity content, when the net humidity is greater outside than inside). It will lower humidity of the house in winter, or whenever the net humidity outside is lower than inside.

It will ventilate the house in an energy efficient manner all year long. Based on this information, choose a setting and manage the amount of run time to achieve your best IAQ.

Hunter 730 carbon pre-filter replacement orange light

Filter lights on your Air Purifier http://www.fastbrowser.net/netpicker/Filter-lights-on-your-Airifie.htm One of the best things about your IQAir Air Purifier is that it has warning lights to tell you when to change the prefilter, gas or hepa filters. Of course how long they last depends on your pattern of usage. For the initial 80% of the filter life the control panel will display a green light next to the corresponding filter on the outline of the unit. When the orange light goes on it does not mean that the filter needs to be replaced immediately but that there is 20% of useful life left. IQAir gives you plenty of time and the machine will tell you how many hours you have left. Once the number of hours gets to within a few hours remaining the orange light will then change to red. It is at this time you should change the filter. If you forget to change it and there are no hours left the hours will go into the negative displaying how many hours you have gone over and the red light will change to a flashing red light.

Just in case you have lost the manual like one of our customers, this is how you reset the filter lights:
1. Press the menu button ( 7 times) until you get to where the display says new filter.
2. Press the enter button and hold it down for 3 seconds and a number 1 will be flashing after the words new filter on the display. This flashing number is so you can enter which filter you have changed. Filter number 1 is the pre-filter, filter number 2 is the V-5 gas filter, and filter number 3 is the Hepa filter.
3. You change the number for the filter by pressing the up arrow button.
4. Once you reach the correct filter number you press the enter button and the control panel will display a question mark after the words new filter on the display. Below this it will say, E = Yes M = Cancel. If you wish to cancel the entry so it does not reset a new filter life, simply press the Menu button.
5. If you want it to reset the filter life for the changed filter, simply press the Enter button. Once this is done, the filter light will change back to the green light, which will show the filter has been changed. If you go to the remaining filter life on the control panel for the filter number you just changed, you will now see the remaining life of the filter in hours has been reset.
