The noise is most likely because the fan has worn out, and would need to be replaced, also its good idea to clean out the dust while its replaced, after the job is done the computer shouldn't be as loud and it should also stay cooler.

Vitrifrigo fan stuck and compressor overheating

Blow the fan out with some compressed air, and spray the fan bearings with WD40. The permanent solution is to replace the fan motor. They aren't expensive and are basically a large computer 5" case fan if it is on a 12 volt system.

My nec Versa E6200 has extremely noisy fan. how to

Fan noises can be caused by wear or dirt. If they are worn the bearings might be gone or going and cause a squeel type of sound. That can only be fixed by replacing the fan. The fans are not expensive but the labout can be.

The usual problem is just caused by dust and dirt built up on the fan blades. The blades get out of balance and then rub or cause noises. If this is left long enough then it can cause bearing damage. If you catch it before then all it needs is a cleaning. You can do this by mechanically stopping the fan so it doesn;t spin and then blwoing compressed air to blow off the dust. The cpu fan and the powersupply fan both with clog up from dust and cause heat problems as well as the noise. Any of these fans are replaceable without buying major parts if needed. ie you don;t have to buy a new power supply, just open the power supply and put a new $5 fan in it. If the computer shop isn;t very good they will force you to buy the power supply instead of fixing the fan.

It's a bit hard to know what the cause is without being able to hear the fan but those are the two ways the fans have problems.

How to install saound card for NEC versa E6200 for

Hi,

First off that notebook is not Windows 7 capable. Here are the WIndows 7 requirements:
  • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.
But, if you want to add a PCMCIA Sound Card you can do that. Just google PCMCIA Sound Card and you'll find a ton that are available.
I might suggest a new laptop.

Thanks Mark

HDD PASSWORD

Pulling the battery out will NOT solve anything.
On bios it should say;
"If you lock your Hard Drive with a password, you will not be able to access it even if you put it in another Computer"

HDD password

You will need to reset the BIOS by pulling the internal battery out and putting back in.

Check the manufacturer's website for specs on the computer.

I have an NEC versa daylite e 120 notebook that needs a new cooling fan, but I can't find one. Marc

Try your electronics hobby shop, they have a range of fans, select one that is the same size as the one in your laptop.
You may need to solder and new connector to the lead or use the existing one.

No more sound on Nec Versa E6200

Ur problem is with the drivers only , nothing with ur H/W.
Find the appropiate drivers, uninstall the older one , restart, install new and again restart it.
