FOUR HOURS TO WASH TOWELS

EVERY TIME I WASH A LOAD OF TOWELS IT IS TAKING FOUR HOURS TO COMPLETE. THIS HAPPENS ON BOTH HEAVY AND NORMAL CYCLES. IT SEEMS TO GET STUCK ON THE RINSE CYCLE BUT NO ERROR CODES APPEAR.

That is not normal. Have the control circuit board tested for continuity. Either the cycle or timer section is out of wack and may need replacing.

SOURCE: dE code on WM0642HW TROMM washing machine

HI, this is a Door Open Error.

Possible Causes are..-

* Door not all the way closed
* Loose electrical connections at door switch and pwb assembly(Control Board)
* Door switch assembly is out of order(Miss aligned)
* Gasket on door may be creased in

Most common issue here will be a defective door lock switch. check all causes before replacing the switch.

SOURCE: Wont drain or spin

I think simply your drain pump motor is stuck for what ever season. open it up and check. You will never get a spin condition if the water has not drained sufficiently.

SOURCE: Brand new. Load gets stuck on 14 minutes or some

Sounds like you are probably doing a very bulky or real off balance load on a high spin speed setting. The washer is trying to get the load up to spin speed, but the load is too off balanced. Try the lowest spin speed setting for that load. If it makes it through that, then power machine back on and just push the spin speed button until the next higher speed shows up, and then the start button if you want to spin it out better. If it still didn't make it through the original cycle on the lowest spin speed, your load must be way too off balanced, like one coat that is saturated with water. If that is the case, you may even have to squeeze some water out of it by hand before you would be able to get the washer to get it up to spin speed.

I have bought a second hand dishwasher WQP12-HFM ME and I am not sure how to use it?

Sometimes a dishwasher will run for hours especially new ones. Newer dishwashers use very little water but run much longer. There are some things you can do to shorten the time. Turn off the options. These extras will add time to the cycle. Sani rinse, Heavy wash, Hi temp, Pot and pans, Tough cycle. If you have a normal load of dirty dishes it’s unnecessary to add options. A normal load without extras can take 3 or 4 hours alone.

Frigidaire heavy duty super capacity 2 speed combonation sometimes goes through cycle fine but mostly continuously fills and drains at start S.N. XE32103237 - FEZ831CAS2

All front loading washers will fill and drain multiple times before it finishes. Unlike a top loader, a front loading washer will take longer to run because there is no agitator and will fill with water and drain multiple times. A front loader is more energy efficient than a Traditional top loading washing machine. A washer dryer combo will take hours to complete a cycle.

Have a WDL540 can you explain the symbols on the right hand side of the machine has mins and other symbols. Don't have an instruction book. A wash takes 2 hours at 40 degrees its too long.

Do you mean a Hotpoint Aquarius WDL 540 washer? The wash cycle timing is available in the manual on page 8 of the manual (see link below). A normal-sized cottons wash at 40 degrees C takes about 150 minutes (2 1/5 hours) if you have good water pressure and do not use too much detergent. The coloreds cycle is shorter (just under 90 minutes). The indicator lights on the very right hand side (in a downward slash pattern) give the cycle status information. The top light is wash, and the next one down is rinse. The rest are Spin, Dry and End of Cycle. See page 7 of the manual. The function buttons, below the wash temperature and drying time/humidity selection knobs, are from left to right: Super Wash, Extra Rinse, Mini Load, Slow Spin. These are given on page 9. The dryer dial gives you the choice of selecting a dry time from 40-180 minutes or by humidity. The humidity options are Iron (leaves clothes slightly damp), Hanger (ready to put away) and Cupboard (to dry heavy items like towels to a very dry stage). Note the dryer can't manage as large a load as the washer function does. You may need to split the load after doing the wash.

The manual for the WDL 540 is available on the product page: https://www.hotpoint.co.uk/appliances-1/washer-dryers-3/hotpoint-aquarius-wdl-540-p-.c-washer-dryer-white/F064656/ . The picture of the washer shows the function buttons when you zoom in on the control panel. The direct link to the manual is http://docs.hotpoint.eu/_doc/19512781900_GB.pdf .

I hope this helps.

I have purchased a house with the single door dishwasher and it takes forever to wash - about two hours - what could be the problem?

Check your program settings. If wash quality is good, it's OK. Check your inlet water has sufficient pressure! Refer user manual

Hi,
When you are putting the heavy clothes (towels robes) the sleeves of the towels will come out easily and get stuck in between the drain out valve so it will not sent the water out properly please avoid heavy clothes(towels robes) try to give a normal load

Long wash times

I've had this problem, particularly with towels - it's quite annoying & not energy or water efficient at all. According to the manual, the unit has a sensor that senses if there is too much soap & it will continue to wash until the soap is removed. I found that this happened frequently on the "cotton" cycles & max spin. I've tried to make sure I use less soap, but I also use the perm-a-press cycle & the spin 1 down from max. Hope this helps
