Control Assembly The Taurus, Sable vehicles group together the following systems into a single integrated control panel:

• AM/FM stereo radio
• clock
• rear window defroster switch
• electronic automatic temperature control (EATC)
• full-logic cassette tape player
• compact disc player control (optional)

The remote climate control module is mounted to the A/C evaporator housing behind the integrated control panel. The integrated control panel is connected to the remote climate control module with a dedicated two-wire communication link. The integrated control panel EATC features:

• a vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) for displaying set temperature, ambient temperature, function and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
• electro-luminescent backlighting for all buttons and graphics.
• function override buttons.
• temperature control and blower speed rocker switches.

Check your owners manual or find it on line. There is a special sequence of 2 buttons you probably need to press at the same time to turn the control on. Several makes of refrigerators use the same process but different 2 buttons so I don't know exactly which 2 you need to push at the same time.

First you need the Program Code for your fridge. It is on the plate on the inside of your fridge, on the same plate that has your Model # and Serial # on it. 2. Again, when you're done, exiting the program mode is done by closing the refrigerator doors. Hope this helps alot of people out there. I'm not sure what the problem is at Maytag, but they're extremely slow in getting parts shipped for their units. The local Maytag repair people have indicated to me that they are seeing an overwhelming number of Maytag refrigerators needing repairs that are around the one year age range. They say the quality of the new units is terrible. "

I had the same issue try hitting delay 1hr and start the 1hr was solid not flashing and an hr later it's running just fine. Think I need a new control panel but for now this is working.

Check whether the door is getting closed fully. Try pushing little hard. If the door close switch problem it may work.

Contact service for help if u can not proceed further with electrical circuits. Micro-controller board to be checked!

I had a tech guy come look at it and he determined that I need a new control panel. He also recommended replacing the temperature sensor at the same time, although it is working correctly at this time. Everything is going to run over $400.

I went to the Maytag site looking for a manual. None existed for my model, but I looked up won't start under the FAQs. The advice said to push the cancel button twice. My model doesn't have one, so I just started at the left side of the control panel and pushed each button twice. pushing the dry button twice made the lights stop blinking. i pushed the wash button and the unit started.
