Question about Computers & Internet
After purchasing the direct download of Movie edit Pro 14, I found that my system is not compatible. How can I install the download of Magic Movie Edit 14 in Windows 7?
You try try the compatibility wizard in Windows 7 to see if you can install Magix Move Edit Pro 14 in compatibility mode for Windows Vista.
To run the Program Compatibility troubleshooter
, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under Programs, click Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.
If you cannot install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the troubleshooter, browse to the program's setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. The troubleshooter is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

SOURCE: is movie edit pro 14
It should, because it worked on Windows Vista, which Windows 7 is based on. If it doesn't work, you can right-click on the desktop shortcut, and under the Compatibility tab, you can change it to Windows Vista SP2, which should let the program start.

SOURCE: I have problem reinstalling magix edit pro 17
Maybe a file in the usual program or configuration directory was locked by another program (e.g. antivirus scans) when you were removing the old edition of Magix Edit Pro; that would leave directories like /Programs/Magix and /Data/Programs/Magix and possibly registry entries (call up RegEdit and delete (or export and then delete) the old items pertaining to Magix or EditPro) around blocking 17 from coming in. Just rename those vestigial directories so they won't be in the install's way. Then retry and report...success?
