Pressing the Back button keeps altering the volume, instead of what it should. My fingers are nowhere near the volume controls.
This is not consistent, and persevering and restarting the player often fixes the problem. However it is happening more and more now which means I cannot get to the main menu to choose music.
If it is still under warranty trade it in for a new one. That is a very strange problem (it probably means that it was either damaged or improperly assembled) There's really nothing you can do except try to DL new firmware but that's probably only got a 50/50 chance of working.

Many people are annoyed about demo mode coming out of nowhere and causing problems with many Magnavox televisions there is a simple process which will allow you to disable the demo mode.
Television must be turned off But remain plugged in
First You must place both your fingers on the VOL + and VOL - buttons on the television.
Then Turn on the television while still holding the volume buttons in for about 6 seconds..
The demo mode will now be disabled, Some televisions may turn off after demo mode is disabled just use remote to turn television back on or use programme up and down button on television to turn it on.
This will work even if you don't have the original remote as it requires no remote at all its a simple process and it will work with nearly all models of Magnavox televisions.
There are two ways. On the left edge of the phone, near the top, is the volume button. Turn up the volume by pressing the top of the rocker button, down lowers the volume.
You can also mute and unmute the phone from your home screen. Press and drag your finger from the upper left corner, down. This will bring up the "Notifications" menu. Across the top are 5 icons (Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Sound, and Airplane mode). If the sound icon says "Sound on", you can press it and it will switch to "Vibrate", and then "Silent", and then back to "Sound On". Hope that helps!
Hello, you can make the display larger by pressing and holding down the Control button (usually marked Ctrl ) and pressing the '+' button. Make it smaller by holding Ctrl and pressing down the minus button ( - ) Alternatively, you can alter the resolution by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting 'properties' , then 'settings' and then altering the adjusting the 'screen resolution' ; less resolution, bigger the font. Near the switch ON/OFF button there must others that control the volume and the channels. Usually the channel switching buttons have an arrow pointing Up and another pointing down. The two button may be the up end and down end of a bigger button. That is the general idea. But you should examine the TV around the control buttons looking foe some inscriptions that will help you identify which is which.
Turn your TV on. Identify the volume control buttons.
By pressing on the button (or the button end) with an UpArrow you ascend the channels. Pressing the button with the down arrow decreases the channel number.
I`ve been all over the internet.90% of people say it can`t be unlocked!

There are 2 reasons that this is happening in respect to the problem commencing after your daughter has cleaned the tv. Either your daughter has sprayed the volume button with cleaner and fluid has got into the the graphite pad under the button and conducting as though the button is being pressed continuously..or she has put too much pressure on the button if it is a metallic plate contact switch. One way to find out is by pressing the down volume button.does it it click ? if it does.try the up volume..If that doesnt click the problem is the metallic plate is dented in making contact hence a new switch. Another cause ive seen is cleaning the remote control with cleaner and fluid has got into the remote and it sends signals to the tv all the time..If the remote control is hidden under a cushion and the problem stops, then the remote control is at fault and needs drying out..Hope this helps :)
