If the clippers stopped cutting, they are probably clogged with hair on the inside of the clippers. I had two pairs of clippers where this happened. I took them to be serviced at a beauty supply store and they cleaned the hair from the inside of both pairs of clippers for me and they now work just fine.
Teresa you lost the guide?! You cannot afford to buy a new one at $22-29 dollars! They are OLD?! Guess what? You just answered your own question. Go to WalMart, Break down and buy new ones. Don't take them apart unless your seated and have a magnet near you! By the way a New Guide will cost you $12 dollars with a blade. They come in sets only. So $12 old one $22 new one? Duh I wonder what I will do?
