This site offers all the parts. As you see, there are many so you must inspect each part and see which is defective.
Fixing it yourself may not be a bad idea as the parts look very straightforward.

Sorry about the lack of info in my response. You should check for current in the wires leading to the motor, if it's good then the motor might need replacing or repair (could just be a gear inside). If there is no power leading to the headlights then it will probably be your switch inside. Do the tests with the switch set to open the headlights from the inside.

1985 corvette headlight close but wont open

I did mine about 3 year ago, C4 headlights are electric motor driven. Clean the contacts, if they are clean, you will have to replace the gears, it's really not hard, just be sure to clean everything as you re- assemble the motor drive. I used synthetic grease. The drive can be unscrewed from the housing and then changing the gears is easy. Most gear sets have directions with them. I got mine from Corvette Central. (about 50 for the set, replace both gears) Be sure to remove any debris.

Headlights coming on by themselves

The headlights are controlled through a solid sate module, it may be your problem. It is a very expensive part so try and find a used one if you don't want a trip to the dealer. I do suggest you have a GM trained tech diagnose this before you replace anything. Also you could join a Corvette owners forum, many are on the web, then once you join ask the other forum members if they have heard of this problem. I have a 1996 but have never seen this issue before.

How do you adjust the flip up headlights on a 93 Silver Anniversary Corvette. When I turn on the headlights, one of headlights opens 1/2 way and then gets hung up. I can manually open, but I am thinking...

That happened to my 1996. The motor was bad, and it ended up costing me about $1000 to get it fixed (at the dealer). That was a year ago; now the other side is doing the same thing. I'm considering just propping it open and leaving it that way.

Changing front directioal signal bulb on 2000 corvette need free how to

Turn your ignition on and your headlights. Turn the key off and then the headlights. They should stay open. Open the hood. Remove the rubber 'bump stop' located next to the headlamp on the side that has the bad bulb. Be careful to not change the location of the lock nut.
Now you have a big opening that will allow you to reach down to the rear of the directional signal and remove the socket and bulb by turning counter clockwise. Replace the bulb. I like to put some dielectric compound or at least some vaseline on the base wires of the new bulb.
Test. Reverse procedure for reassembly. Congratulations....... you just saved $70.00!!! Dave
