Go back to the basics. Check air supply, fuel supply and spark. Clean or replace the air filter. Check there is fuel getting to the cylinders. Check each spark plug is firing with a clean blue spark. Such a short running time would suggest it's possibly a fuel starvation issue.
From your description you can be fairly certain it is an electronic problem.
I had a similar problem once with my Honda CX500. I found the connections to the ignition module had gone green and a good clean up restored normal running.

Your carbeurator is crudded up. Get a can of aerosol carbeurator cleaner at any auto parts store. Remove the air filter and spray two squirts of cleaner into the air intake. Start the engine and keep it running by squirting more carb. cleaner into the air intake. WIth a little patience you will clean your carb. and solve your problem.
make certain it has compression and has spark and is getting plenty of fuel and the air filter is clean. clean carbs air filter and fuel filter and new plugs.
