Its not an error it means its in delay start mode. Hold down the delay start button (looks like a clock) for 5 seconds and it should clear

It seems the "H01" is some kind of common and fatal error code in many disc players and I have yet to find anyone who has paid the ransom, er cost, to get one fixed as it is cheaper and makes more economical sense to just buy a new unit...

You have a Panasonic K Deck Mechanism, you can search for more free info on it via Google. Meanwhile H01 means no drum motor or drive, it's to do with the main VCR head not going around.

most likely problem with the AJ-D650 is deteriorated electrolytic capacitors on the mechanism drive board. when these caps fail, the mechanism will not load completely, if at all. also check for bad capacitors in the signal path from the head drum. first and easiest step is to clean the heads; often a good cleaning will restore operation to a non-playing machine.
