CCD FAILURE !
Call HP they may or may not repair it FREE but other camera manufacturers are doing it FREE repairs bcoz it is considered as manufac fault in CCD units

1) this is indicative the lcd camera has been faulty. 2) you must replace it. 3) contact your company supplier, and get the parts, you can do it yourself, only need small screwdrivers and common sense. God bless you
If you can check previous pics and menu settings there, isn't a problem with the LCD screenviewer; sound like a problem with the CCD Image Sensor problem.
Try formatting the memory card in the computer then format it again in the camera and see if that clears the problem. Also try another memory card but if the problem persists it probably needs a repair.
It sounds like a bad connection on the ribbon cable of the LCD screen to the camera's motherboard. The fact that when you physically move the camera around and you can get the screen to then work, tells me something is loose inside.
