SOURCE: Wireless mouse and keyboard not working

If you have got a USB receiver for the wireless keyboard and mouse, then the solution might be with the receiver. Normally we know that to play a USB thumb drive, we simply plug in and play. But some model of Acer computer require us to press the button on the thumb drive to activate it. The model I had (an Aspire model) set the press button same as the blicking light bulb. So (a) turn on computer, (b) plug in thumb drive receiver (c) press button on the drive, (d) press "contact" button on the mouse and keyboard. That works for me.

SOURCE: Several keys on keyboard not working - Acer AspireOne

If you have warranty they can fix it for you, but if not, you can take the laptop apart, and clean the contacts of the keyboard youself. Which would be the same thing they would do ("they" the warranty people). But is not sure, you can take it to a repair shop for inspection.

SOURCE: Acer 5100 keyboard and mouse will not work. No

Hello there, this is usually caused by one of three things.

Either something was just plugged in (usually USB) that is interfering that you can just unplug

The computer has locked up for another reason (more in a sec.)

Mainboard could possibly be bad / going bad =(

To test if the computer itself is locked up try plugging in an external USB mouse or keyboard to see if you can get that to work. If it does then that means the keyboard and mouse built in are failing, which again basically means the mainboard is failing.

Hopefully it will be that the computer is completely locked up so when you plug in an external usb mouse or whatever it won't respond. That's easiest to fix.

Please let me know

Thanks
Tim

Soapy water spilled on acer keyboard. Now won't key

More then likely you will have to replace the keyboard, if none of the key work anymore since you spilled water on it. If you need a new keyboard you should be able to order one from acer but that will be more expensive you could try getting on from eBay just be careful from eBay from were you buy it from. If you do end up buy a new one they are really easy to take off and put the new one on just make sure you have a really tiny flat head if you could put the model of the laptop and how old it is and I could see put a walk through on how to replace your keyboard.

ACER ASPIRE laptop PgUbp key came off.

Unless I'm missing something, just put the key back where it belongs. Push down hard, and it'll snap back into its place. If this doesn't work, check the underside of the key. If you see broken plastic, you'll probably have to find a new key. Acer laptops seem to have a problem with keys coming out and breaking (just look at the number of times this question has been asked!)

hope this helps

Need 4 replacement keys for acer acpire one 10.1

Replacement keys are usually specific to your model laptop/keyboard. If you are missing some plactic hinge components an the rubber hat contact, then you need to replace the keyboard.
There are companies on the Internet that supply replacement keyboards, Google search for replacement keyboards for your model laptop.

Where can I get laptop key?

Ebay is the best place, or a small computer shop that sells used laptops. On Ebay there are several vendors that sell individual keys, however, you may be able to get a good deal on an entire keyboard, then you will have many keys for future mishaps.

The connector may be broken.

all I can suggest is to take it in to be checked.

I suppose you did insert the hard drives in the right way.. If I remember right its the text side up (towards the keyboard)
