Well in that case you can try to go to settings-> sounds -> turn off vibrate when ringing and vibrate on touch

  • Ashique Baten

and also try settings -> sounds-> volume and change the volume there, activate dial tones, or any other sound options

if no sound comes out at all I suggest you take it back to the store if you have warranty. Sometimes vendors sell broken hardware.

SOURCE: lg renoir phone - sound issue

You are in the right place but looking at the wrong option, if you scroll down on the Normal profile you will see a message tone option, if you are not hearing a tone at the moment then I suspect it will say "No Sound". Tab this option and select Existing sound, you will then be able to navigate through the sound files on your phone and choose one of the Default Sounds (from the folder by the same name) or an MP3 or other supported sound file you have added to your phone.

If that doesn't solve your problem then you may have a faulty phone.

You can change the sound you get when sound alert is switched on by going to Settings > Touch Settings > Touchscreen Effect and choosing a different sound from the Tone option. You can also change the volume of the tone of severity of touch vibration here.

SOURCE: voyager cell no sound

1. Power you phone off then take out the battery. Put it back in and turn it back on. Rebooting every once in awhile will delete any corruptions or locked up features. You should do this once a week when you remember.

2. If that does not resolve it. Change your ringtone save the changes and change it back. Change your volume level and change it back.. Sometimes the settings get STUCK and changing them gets them back where they should be.

SOURCE: On the LG phone no sound on the alarm... Problem

I had the same problem. I solved it by clicking the lighting (day/night) symbol on the power control widget. I guess the power saving setting will disable the media sounds.

Hope this helps.

My phone makes no soud when i receive incoming calls/sms's

Check that the handset is set to the correct profile: Menu key > Profiles and select a loud one.
Also try customising the profiles to make them louder. If this does not resolve, try a software update from http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
Again, if this does not resolve, you may need a replacement, although I would refrain from calling blackberry as they will charge you $49 to call them.

Sound volume is very low on incoming calls. Have set volume to max in settings and still no difference!

Send your phone to service, my nokia is dead too, so far 6 friends that have NOKIA TOUCH mobiles 5230, 5530 and 5800 all of them lasted around 6-8 months before the sound from incoming calls is very low with all the settings on volume set on high.

Things that will NOT fix the problem: Reseting phone, isntall up to date software.

I have a Samsung SGH-A777 and cannot find where I can change my incoming text message tone. Can anyone help?

From main menu, settings (9). In settings, click on sound profile (1). Select any of the four options. In any option, use right cursor key to move from calls to messages. Simply scroll down to type and change your message tone to anything available on the list. Then save. Keep in mind that this tone will only work in this profile. You can have a different alert tone for phone and messaging for each profile.

Go to Profiles, and choose a Customized Profile. Rename it to whatever you prefer. In this profile you can select your ring tone, message tone, volume, etc. I only had to do this once, and everything worked perfectly!
