Droid ULTRA fails to maintain proper connection with Prius handsfree

I can successfully pair the ULTRA with my Prius hands free system; however, when I leave my car and return to it later (overnight) even though the hands free says that my cell phone is connected, it doesn't work. I can remove the cellphone from my hands free then when I try to add it again, the cell phone reports that there are no bluetooth devices detected.

I would fully remove the device from the history of both devices and reconnect them. The Bluetooth Stack used on the device changed when the phone got KitKat

SOURCE: My i68 4g won't pair

hi wikis69 you need to delete the first phone. Next you need to make sure the phone is in discovery mode. Next you need to make sure that the hands free kit is in trusted device mode. Next repair the phone again. If the phone is still not pairing take the battery out, and then you need to do it again. hope this helps

Step A - ENSURE HEADSET IS IN PAIRING

headset is in pairing mode.
Step B - SET YOUR PHONE TO LOOK FOR
YOUR HEADSET
On your Motorola phone, press (Menu) >

Handsfree > Look for Devices.
The phone lists Bluetooth devices it finds.
Select Motorola H555.
Select OK or Yes to pair your headset with
your phone.
Enter the passkey: 0000
Select OK.
When your headset successfully pairs and
connects with your phone, the indicator light
changes from steadily lit to flashing blue.

Troubleshooting: Make sure that any devices previously pairedwith the headset are turned off. If the indicator

until the indicator light flashes three times in
blue.
After a few moments, the indicator light will be
steadily lit in blue to indicate your S9 is in pairing
mode.
3 From your device, perform a Bluetooth device
discovery/search. .
When pairing your S9, use
the following steps to perform a device discovery
from your phone:
After accessing the Settings Menu, go to bluetooth.

How do i connect my HBH-600 bluetooth headset to my phone?

hi thanks for using fixya!

Connecting a Bluetooth headset or hands-free speaker unit to your phone involves setting the headset to “discoverable” mode; check the headset manual for how this is done, as it varies by type and model. You’ll also need to find the headset PIN code in its manual – this is usually 0000 or 1234, but again it varies.

Go to Bluetooth menu – from the main menu highlight Settings (Figure 1), click Select, and scroll right to highlight the Connectivity tab. Highlight Bluetooth (Figure 2), click Select and then highlight Handsfree (Figure 3) and click Select.

When prompted to ‘Add a handsfree device’, choose Yes (Figure 4), and your phone will look for all discoverable hands-free units (Figire 5). Select the one that you want from the list that appears and enter the hands-free unit’s PIN code when prompted. The pairing will now be complete.

Once paired, you’ll find the headset listed under the My devices menu in the Bluetooth settings area, from where you can connect and disconnect it.

Hope it will help you. If you need further assistance, let me know!

Regards!

I had a Garmin installed in my new Volvo XC90. When I make or receive a call with my paired cell phone, I have no audio either through the phone or the car speaker. I cannot hear the caller or vice verse....

What model number is the GARMIN GPS?

Is your new Volvo equipped with the Bluetooth handsfree system?

It's possible that your GARMIN has paired itself to your cellphone unintentionally via Bluetooth (many GARMIN units have Bluetooth), and therefore intercepting your cellphone audio.

If you >intended< to use the GARMIN for this puropse, maybe your hands-free system in the Volvo is competing for your cellphone audio, and needs to be de-activated.

More info please :-)
