Question about Brother PE770 Computerized Sewing Machine
The needle broke, so replaced and such. The problem that won't go away is the upper thread continues to break after 10 stitches. it looks like it breaks at the needle or before set 5 of threading. the thread is fraded or unraveled.
Try changing the needle again, sometimes even new needle can be damaged
also check for burrs around the needle plate

When your needle broke the first time, it may have gouge or cause sharp edges to appear on the faceplate or the bottom thread catcher hook. You need to smooth these scratched surface out with very fine sand paper or a dremel with a wire brush.

if thread is good quality you may have a sharp groove in your needle plate hole from needle breakage. if so, polish with emery tape.

Could the thread be catching on the thread spool?
