Most likely it is dead. If you tried a real factory reset, then just look for another tablet. Toshiba is not going to help you as, from my experience, they do not care after they sell you the prodcut and it gets out of warranty.

Consider Samsung.

Disabling Transport Mode

1.Place the ignition OFF.

2.Verify the battery is fully charged.

3.Place the ignition ON.

4.NOTE: Steps 4 and 5 must be carried out within 10 seconds.

Press and release the brake pedal 5 times.

5.Press and release the hazard switch 4 times (on, off, on, off).

I'd turn off the vehicle. Remove the key. Then try a restart, should be clear of "Transport Mode."

Your TV has been entered to Factory mode [Service Mode] by anyway. In this condition, only limited buttons on the remote will work. To make it right, you have to exit this mode, and come back to normal mode. To get more details about how to get into and exit from service mode [Factory mode], check this site. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

Your set is now set to Factory mode by anyway. Without quitting it, you can't access any of the user manual settings. What is the brand name to your TV? Your TV is now in service mode [factory mode] now. That is why, it shows the display 'Factory' on screen. You have to quit the service mode. Then only you can enter into its normal menu. But, entering and exiting factory mode/service mode, to different brand TVs will not be the same. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this link.
