The link below is a short YouTube video showing how to rest the pattern code on your phone, The guy shows 3 ways but the 3rd way is a factory reset meaning you loose everything in your phone but the first two ways are worth watching. Check that sim valid,
Check with another sim card if problem not shows sim card may complaint do as follows
Take the sim crd out and rub gently with a cotton cloth, and reinsert it.
Or take to service provider & ask him to give duplicate sim.
If problem with mobile try to dial *#7370#(Format),
Or take mobile to Nokia care(Problem might be network ic).
