How to remove motor cover Black & Decker lawn mower EMAX32

Before you start removing covers and panels unplug the mower. Turn the mower over and carefully try to spin the blade by hand. Your checking to where the issue is most likely to be.
Does the motor sound different when you pull the Start trigger? If it sounds a lot faster than normal, it could be an issue between the motor and gearbox.
Does the blade spin really easily and feel like it's not bolted down? Does the blade not turn at all like it's 'locked' or 'jammed'?
- A loose or floppy blade is commonly the centre mount bolt for the blade is loose or the blade isn't seated correctly.
- A 'locked' blade could be a gearbox or a motor issue.

Lennox XC21 (7 yrs old) compressor motor does not turn fan blades

Check the motor by hand to see if it turns freely, if it does then the issue is the motor controller not being able to sense where the motor is. Check for 240 Volts on the red wires and then check for 24 volts dc between black and blue and black and yellow.

I can manually turn the blades inside the glass pitcher and I can turn the piece on the top of the motor base into which the pitcher blade attachment fits.

One of the parts is not being driven properly. Either the clutch on the top of the motor is not really attached to the motor shaft OR the clutch on the bottom of the blade is not engaging with the motor clutch OR the blade clutch is not properly attached to the blade shaft. On some models if you put the rubber sealing ring in the wrong place between the beaker and the blade housing it is enough to lift the clutches apart. The rubber wing goes between the beaker and the blade housing, not between the blade housing and the blade retaining ring.

Motor buzzes, fan does not move, blade does not move, blade is clear of obstruction

Removing blade will not do it - there has to be an obstruction in the drive mechanism that prevents it from turning. Leave off till fixed lest you risk burning out the motor completely. Turn on AFTER you can turn the blade freely.

How do i do it myself to install outdoor bower motor condensor motor 1/4 hospower 350 rpm and also the 5 amp capacitor. If i keep the 10 amp capacitor is that a problem?

Turn off power in all cases. If you are replacing the orignal motor for the 1st time. It might be easier if
you cut the wires near the control box and then wire
nut them together and wrap with electrical tape.

Remove the fan cover and unloosen bolt that hold the
fan to the frame or whatever it might be. After fan is out spray some WD40 that holds the fan blade to
the motor shaft. Measure the distance from the fan
blades to the motor.

Unloosen the screw that holds the fan blade to the
motor shaft.Take sand cloth and try to clean up
the shaft below the blades. Try to tap the fan blade
down towards the motor. If it moves sand the shaft above the blades. Take channel locks and grip the shaft below the blades, try turning the fan blade while
holding the shaft until it spins freely and the remove.

If the motor came with a 5mfd capacitor use it.

Vornado Circulating Fan - motor will run but blades will not turn.

Does the motor spin, but the blade is not turning?
The motor has a D shaped shaft. If the hole in the blade that the shaft goes in is rounded, then the blade will spin. In that case you need a new blade. Vornado can supply that.

Motor can be heard going but the blade wont spin!!

There is usually a pin in the shaft of the motor, that corrosponds with a slot in the fan blades, it sounds to me like either (a) the pin somehow came out, or (b) the slot in the blades is rounded. Hope this helps

Blade does not turn

Disconnect the electric from the saw. Remove the throat blade cover. Bring the blade all the way up. Look for wood  caught between the blade and anything else. Finding none, remove blade. Try motor w/o blade. If it runs now,w/o the blade then the motor is likely ok . Reinstall blade. Now if it stil stalls, Replace motor.
