I have a Maytag Maxima frontload washer that was getting these two error codes. I found in my case it was due to the tub not draining water as quickly expected. On my model there were two screws at the bottom of the front panel (one on each side towards the floor) Once these screws were removed and my husband tilted the washer up I was able to get my hand behind the panel and unscrew the filter cap that is located towards the middle at the bottom. It is a large plastic circle that you unscrew. With your hand remove any gunk or objects blocking the filter (usually filled with gunk) screw the filter cap back in, screw the front panel screws in and try to run another load. I have had to do this twice so far. You would think if the filter needs to be cleaned out every year or so they would make it more easily accessible.

My maytag 2000 series has a code E1 and SD

These codes indicate you have used to much detergent and there are excessive soap suds in the machine, use an approved detergent and use the right amount. Unplug the washer from the wall for 5 minutes after the suds are drained out. if codes return call for service.

Washing machine E1

You have not included the make and model of your washer so that makes it pretty hard to answer for sure. A google search shows that several makes have an error code of E1 and it refers to a slow drain. Attached youtube video link is for a whirlpool washing machine and might help. If not repost with the make and model of your washer.

Maytag front load washer mod mhwe251yg00 cde e1-f6

Serial communication error you have two computers one up top the CCU and one down below the MCU it's saying the two are not talking to each other the tech sheet has you go thru about 20 steps to basically come to the same conclusion it's either one or the other which I could help more but I run into the same problem in the field. Most times it's a failed CCU

Maytag 2000 series shows error code f6 e1. How can I fix?

Before spending much time and possible unnecessary work, the E1-F6 code may be nothing more than your bottom cover plate is not in place or missing. Recently was servicing a Maytag 2000 series wash and during the inspecting of the cycles it quit and flashed those codes. I had been testing it WITHOUT the bottom cover plate on. When I went to install it back on the code disappeared. Problem simply solved.

We just got a brand new MayTag Modle # MHWE200XW00 today. We cannot get the washer to start due to error codes which are, F6, and E1. What is the problem?

It is a communication error between the CCU and the MCU. It could be just a poor or loose connection or either the motor control or computer control. try unplugging it for 5 min then plugging it in again.
