Try driverbooster (is free) for the newest drivers. I'm pleased with it.
Perhaps it solves your problems. I surely hope so.

Be sure to press the 'FN' key at the bottom-left of your keyboard
at the same time that you are using those "function-keys" to adjust the volume.

SOURCE: I recently installed windows xp

The respective Operating Systems probably do not have native driver support for the Wireless chipset on your N120. After your desired OS is installed, connect your wired jack to your interne. Go to Samsung's website and download the driver for your Wireless card, they have a very simple easy to use matrix for selecting the right driver. The site for the N150 is here: After you've downloaded the driver, install, reboot and test by unplugging your wired connection. Good luck.

SOURCE: i have brought a laptop

Samsung has a built in great power management. It will reduce power brightness to 50% or less if unplug from power cord. <<< it gives more times for power on the battery stays longer. BUT if you demand for some cases eg.PRESENTATION >>> go to CONTROL PANEL >>>power option >>> presentation. APPLY >>> OK

I have MSI U100 Notebook and I recently installed Windows 7. After installation, the Wifi is always on. The hotkey Fn+F11 is working the green led too but the Wifi card isn't turning off the Wifi.

Have you updated the drivers for your wifi-card?
There is two places you can go
One is the Msi website the other is the wi-fi card manufacturers website.
It could also possibly be the driver for the FN keys thats need to be either re-installed or updated

Fn key doesnt work

The Fn key on laptops is only used in conjunction with other keys.

look at your KB you should see some icons that are the same colour as the Fn key eg on my laptop the F5 key has 2 TV symbols, this pressed while holding the Fn key turns on the external display port, perfect for connecting to a projector, other combinations are for turning WiFi off and on, mute, volume control and brightness.

Hope this helps you out. 694d0c27-d03d-4af6-9753-6f2d5ca68581.jpg

I have Acer Aspire 5738 and installed Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit OS, problem is my webcam is not detected and the fn and its combination keys are not working like muting, brightness, webcam, sleep, etc, so...

The acer launch manager may help, you can download it here: download version 3.0.02 for windows 7.
The launch manager controls the multimedia buttons, volume control, Fn keys etc. so that should resolve your problems.

Im using samsung NP-R540 lap and i recently formatted my computer so than i installed all the drivers but my wifi is not still working why is that

is it enabled?
control panel>network and internet>manage wireless connections click adapter properties and then configure, click the drivers tab and check that it is enabled. there may also be a function key combination on the keyboard: Fn key and one of the F# keys to turn on wifi.
also, check the device manager to make sure the network adapters wifi driver installed correctly.

BRightness FN control does not work. I tried control panel settings to adjust brightness but there is no slider. I am running Windows 7 on a Dell Inspirion 1501 laptop. Please help!

This looks to be a software issue. if the slider in the control panel is off, and it is not responding with the Fn key. then you should check the display adaptor in device manager. install the appropriate driver if needed.

Cant turn the brightness down on my asus netbook

You should be able to use the "FN" key and "F5" key, press and hold the "Fn" key then while holding that key, press the "F5" key to decrease the brightness. Use the same(Fn) key and "F6" to increase the brightness.

FN keys don't work on Sony VAIO VGN-SZ18GP

The solution is as follows, which worked for me:

- Install Windows 7
- let it update all the drivers that it needs to
- Install additional Sony drivers that you need (XP drivers work just fine, but make sure to install them in Administrator mode, so, Run as Administrator), such as camera, fingerprint scanner, etc
- Install the Notebook Control Device Driver (without this the other software does nothing)
- Sony Utilities DLL
- Sony Shared Library

* restart computer *

- Sony Video Shared Library
- SUS (Setting Utility Series)

* restart computer *

- VES (VAIO Event Service)

After this one the Fn keys will start to work. The S1 and S2 keys don't work due to something to do with UAC (but I don't need them anyway)

- VAIO Control Centre (will allow you to change what the S1 and S2 keys do, even though you can't use them :) )

That's it and it worked for me.
