How do I remove a tumbnail from a photo?

Once you've added you're photos, you can set a different photo to act as thumbnail (the programme automatically chooses the first photo/slide, indicated by a little green ticked box sign).
To change the thumbnail to a different photo, highlight the photo you want as thumbnail by clicking it - the frame will change to yellow - and then click on the green ticked box command ("Set Thumbnail") at the top of the window.
You cannot alltogether delete the thumbnail, because every slide show you create needs to have a thumbnail to link the slide show to the menu screen at the start of your DVD. So, on your menu screen there will always be at least one thumbnail. (The black thumbnail that appears in the middle of your screen when you first open the programme, is a "place holder". It needs to be there and it cannot be deleted. Once you've created a slide show, it will be replaced with the photo you have chosen to be the thumbnail. Every time you create a new slide show, a new thumbnail will be added to your menu screen. The position of thumbnails can be changed, using the second ("Edit") Tab.

You will find a User's Guide on the install disc. It can be accessed by inserting the install disc and clicking on the relevant link, or you can right click on your CD/DVD drive (in "My Computer") and then click on "Explore" to look for it on the install disc - it's a pdf file.

Can i replace a toshiba l355-s7901 motherboard with a toshiba l355-s7915 motherboard

Going out on a limb here, but I'm going to state yes, except the s7901 has hot keys in the center strip under the LCD screen. Above the Keyboard, where the Power On button is located. The s7915 doesn't.

Toshiba Satellite l355-s7901,

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Toshiba-Satellite-L355D-S7901.14988.0.html

You can click on the photos towards the bottom to enlarge.

Toshiba Satellite l355-s7915,

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Toshiba-Satellite-L355-S7915.19879.0.html

Same with the photos at the bottom.

I know this doesn't seem like a very professional answer/solution, but in viewing both of the laptops the ports, (USB, DC Power Jack, etc.), and the peripherals, (DVD optical drive, add-in card drive, etc.), seem to be in the same place.

Viewing a Service Manual for the Toshiba Satellite l350 series of Notebook PC's, shows removal procedures to be the same across the board, no matter what model deviation it is.
As long as it's one of the Satellite l350 series.

http://www.tim.id.au/blog/tims-laptop-service-manuals/#toc-toshiba

Go down to the second Satellite file header. The one that starts with Satellite A10.
Now go down to the second line, and then go across to L350, and click on it.

This is a PDF file. May take up to 30 seconds before you see the first page, and additional time to fully download.

Do I know for a fact they will interchange? No, I do not.
I'm willing to bet strongly that they will.

Seeking info/instructions for CD/DVD burning from E-mail (primarily photos) on my Dell Inspiron 1501?

Most email account offer the possibility of downloading the photos you receive - so download them to your pc. If you don't have that option you will have to download them yourself one by one: open the photos in your mail account, make sure you see them at their real size - not thumbnails, then right click on them and Select Save.
Then all you have to do is to burn them to a CD-R, just like any other files.

Ive put photos on dvd from my laptop, how do i finalise the dvd to play on other dvd players.

if you have just copied the photos to the DVD as a data file then just insert the DVD on the DVDplayer and just press play and it will slideshow the DVD...
else you can use any free " photo DVD creator " and use that to create the DVD and watch it on DVD player.
the best is Nero photo DVD/CD creator....and it's free

How do you burn a cd on this notebook?

  1. Insert a writeable CD or DVD into your computer's CD or DVD recorder.
  2. In the dialog box that appears, click Burn files to data disc.
  3. In the Burn a Disc dialog box, type a name for this disc, and then click Next.
It might take several minutes for the disc to be formatted in the default Live File System format. When the formatting is complete, an empty disc folder opens.
  4. Open the folder that contains the files you want to burn, and then drag the files into the empty disc folder.

cdb4d559-8825-47a1-8175-79020965d91c.pngYou can copy files to the disc folder by dragging them to the disc icon or to an open disc folder As you drag files into the disc folder, they are copied automatically to the disc.
But I recommend you to use any CD or DVD burning software like Nero, BurnAware etc. There are lots of free burning tools available on Internet too.

Why I recommend third party software is because you can select burn speed plus minimum disc burning error.

Toshiba L350 series laptop shows "windows failed to start" screen when booting up & goes to a completely blank screen afterwards. Tried using recovery cd & can't get C prompt to come up. Need...

Shut down the laptop, make sure that no light is lit up. Before booting it back up, press and hold the F12 button. It will lead you to boot options. Open up your DVD drive and insert Disc 1 of recovery then make sure you select the ODD or the dvd drive to boot up. This will start the recovery process.

Other models has Icons for boot options. Make sure you select the single disc option to boot the ODD.

Hope this helps.
