Adding your domain name + backslash will get you on that particular domain, whether it be your local domain or your work domain. As for not knowing your ID, ask your IT department.

Next question is - is your hard drive working?
Check your BIOS and make sure the hard drive is seen.

Try to boot from a Linux or Windows CD and see if that works.
